I agree totally on this. What use is PUSH email when you can only reply as a .me address from that email? No use to business users that's for sure!
 
It's more likely to get a new version of the iPhone than new features for the current model. If the product doesn't have the feature you need at launch day don't buy it.

Its actually in Apples and everyones best interest to NOT have flash.
But I cant be bothered to get into the details of 'why' again, just believe me, you are best off without it!

Probably but it works fine on the PSP for years. Why not on the iPhone/iPod Touch? If you don't like it turn it off.

Because apple are trying steer clear of proprietary web technologies, and rightfully so. Its in both the interest of the consumer and apple that they do not have flash(right now).

I agree, but the iPhone 3G was supposed to have many features that were stripped away because someone did a crappy job. ie Push. Of coarse these people no longer work for Steve Jobs or probably for anyone else for that matter.

I want Push (3rd party enabled), C&P (not expecting though), 3G in my area(not apples fault), I would love for someone to create an app that would allow you to use garage band to make custom VM Greeting. picture text. Is this to much to ask for. oh more RAM this would probably fix have the currant problems with the iphone.

Sorry but I agree with this comment. I am still hacked off about the appalling fast forward/rewind bug in video. USed to be nice and smooth now is a total mess, try it and see. This is such a basic thing they need to fix along with many others. I am a heavy user of video, 120 mins a day on average and this is a mess.

Please, Please fix the bugs and then add more functionality.
 
has apple ever taken this long to come out with a service/product after they said they would? ie. push by the end of september. i do love my iphone, its just that we know the potential the platform has.

can you imagine phones it 10 years.

Developer forums? Awesome! Not it won't be so hard to get help about the iPhone SDK. I only wish it had Mac support too.:mad:
 
they just seeded 2.2 beta 2 now.. so im guessing well see another update and maybe push by new years.. yay

That means they'd have to come out with the iPhone 3G sometime in between, since it hasn't been released yet. The first iPhone was the iPhone 1G (first generation), the 3G iPhone is the iPhone 2G (2nd generation iPhone running 3rd generation cellular network). Also, iPhone 2.x refers to the operating system, which can be running on iPhone 1G or iPhone 2G. But only the 2G has 3G, and the 3G iPhone 2G can't run iPhone 1.x.

Clear enough? :D

I think Apple should have come out with a better name than "3G iPhone".

EDIT: I guess iPhone 3G is the actual name, I was all backwards. That means they will need to invent and implement a 4G network before the iPhone 4G can be released.

Like I said in my above post, no such thing as an iPhone 3G yet :D But I totally agree, copy/paste and the various little bugs need to be fixed in :apple:'s flagship product.

Edit: you're right, I'm wrong, "iPhone 3G" is the official name. So why doesn't my iPod Nano 3G have internet? confusing
 
flash will be available about the same time a new processor is. the iphone is sluggish enough. flash would kill it.

What ever happened to that (pre-AppStore) guy who made the proof of concept app on the jail-broken first-gen iphone!? Hop to it man!
 
When will we all be able to download the 2.2 Update ?

When are they going to start testing the 3.0 Beta update?
