Where are all those people that were very adamant how this was a PRIVATE event and anyone posting videos or pics from it should be ashamed of themselves?

Watched the 60 Minutes piece earlier this evening. It wasn't scathing. His flaws were painted in the light that he's human like the rest of us.

Indeed, did a good job of showing a reasonable picture of him. I do wish they had spent more time on Jobs, the focus on autism and iPads was interesting, but I'm more curious about Jobs.

Good damage control to release this before that rather borderline scathing 60 Minutes piece and the upcoming book revelations.
What's so scathing about it?
He was a egotist and could be a real prick sometimes to get what he wanted?

Most succesful people are. Hell, it's human nature.

Again, everyone missed the word "borderline".

I came away with a picture of a pure prick who felt entitled, "chosen", spoiled, bullying, and special. But that's just me.

Still like Apple and its products. Sort of glad the myth is being burst, though.

****ing awesome. I was really hoping some video would leak from this event, but had no expectation of Apple releasing the official footage. To me, this will be the closest thing to closure. I'm gonna watch the hell out of this and take in every minute. Thanks Apple.

iTunes Download

Hope they decide to also put a link in iTunes for a download...as my internet connection sucks for streaming I'd rather have the whole thing download and watch it uninterrupted later. Apple may be moving away from this, as I don't think the 4s announcement was ever released on the iTunes Apple Events page...

Apparently Steve was in the room during the keynote. I didn't know that.

What are you referring to?

Yes it was.

All successful Fortune 500 CEOs are a bit arrogant and bullying. It's the nature of the beast, as it were. As Steve might have put it, the ones crazy enough to think they can be be Fortune 500 CEOs are the ones who are. I'm sure he wasn't the easiest person to work for.

Nonetheless, Steve Jobs was one the greatests CEO of the last 100 years (and the most valuable to his company). Especially in his second stint, he had the vision of Henry Ford, the tenacity of Jack Welch, the passion of Herb Kelleher, and the business smarts of Warren Buffett.

I am very happy that they decided to release this to us..... Wow, tonight is certainly my "Steve Jobs Night," as I watched "60 Minutes" and am anticipating the arrival of my copy of the biography any time now on my iBookshelf and now this, too....

As for "60 Minutes," I thought they did a very nice job of it, all the way around, and the segment about how iPads benefit children with autism was the perfect additional touch, as it showed how much Steve has indeed changed the world, made a dent in the universe, and in this particular instance, opened up a whole new world of communication for some individuals.

22 minutes into the video. Bob tells about Steve grabbing the Siri demo phone backstage from Scott and asking if Siri was a man or a woman.

The iPhone 4S one, a day before he dies.

He was talking about the last Board of Directors meeting that Steve was at. Scott Forstall was demoing the phone at the BOD meeting.

they cut out a few parts.

the part where Chris Martin said he's gonna "name drop" he actually told a story of how Bono was using a Blackberry and he blamed the BBM/email crash on Jobs and they all laughed.

so the "name drop" had to do with Blackberry and the outage. forget the exact story though.

Yeah, he didn't say anything about "backstage"... It was obviously an anecdote from when Scott was first demoing Siri internally.
