Not just me!

My launch 13 PM - ever since iOS 16 came out - noticed that wifi sometimes drops out. It will just refuse to load anything in any app - and my phone tells me I don't have internet. I turn off WiFi and everything works perfectly. And I have WiFi assist on! Usually turning on WiFi works but sometimes I have to wait awhile for WiFi to kick back in.

Pre iOS 16 - WiFi was perfect on this device. Happens once or twice every other day.
Same here. Sometimes pages won't load, or load very, very slowly, even though my Wifi is up and running strong. I'm also having wake from sleep issues since updating.

iOS8 made the wifi connection on my iPad very flaky. Many people reported it, yet it took Apple a leisurely four releases (yes, four) until it was fixed. I never upgrade any Apple devices until the bugs are fixed. I like the battery life on my iPhone 13 Pro, and my wifi connections, so I'm holding out until Apple fixes iOS/iPadOS 16. And if that means I have to wait until 17, so be it.
Same here on my iPP 2021. When will I ever learn to wait for diving into a new release iOS/OS 😫

My HomeKit stopped sunrise/sunset automations

This sort of BS happens ALL THE TIME with HomeKit.
As best I can tell, "security" means there is some sort of token associated with each Scene and each Automation that calls the Scene;
and EVERY FSCKING OS UPDATE some number of these tokens get borked.
So it looks like your Automation no longer has "permission" (or something) to execute the Scene.

The only solution I have found is to go in and modify the Scene (and for good measure also the Automation). In my experience small mods to the Automation (just toggle it off then on again, or change the execution time) are not good enough, but changing the Scene (eg add an item, then later after everything works again, remove it) does work.

It's absolutely pathetic that this is STILL happening after about ten years!!! We'll see if the supposedly all new, all rewritten HomeKit in iOS 16.2 finally has some adult supervision...

Weird. I've been running the latest iOS beta 16.1 and previously rand the iOS 15.X betas as well on both iPhone 13 base and now running iOS 16.2 beta on iPhone 13 Pro Max and battery and wifi are perfect. Battery life is simply amazing. I'm guessing this is just a random issue for some but surprised too. The betas have been rock solid for me (sorry to all who're having issue, been there many times but not since iOS 15.x where I definitely had some battery issues.)

I believe you, but until I hit this post I was thinking "I'm glad this doesn't affect the 13 Pro Max." I haven't had any problems on mine. I wonder what the trigger is?
Have to definitely agree! I have the 13 Pro Max and running iOS 16.2 currently and have ZERO issues and haven't since I go it new. The stock iOS and now betas I've rand have been rock solid for me.

I’m a full believer that THE purpose of iOS updates is to intentionally break things that previously work, while throwing in a bone of questionable new features.
Then they spend the entire year slowly “fixing” all their “bugs” to keep people always coming back for more in hopes that their iPhone will work properly one day.

Likely Apple’s biggest nightmare is putting out a perfect version of iOS that doesn’t have any problems. Bad for business. Gotta keep the masses unsatisfied
nah....a bit far fetched.

Ah wow didn't know so many people have been affected by this! I hope it resolves the issues people are facing. My iPhone 14 Pro Max has been running solid, no battery issues thankfully, no heating issues, and definitely haven't experienced the wi-fi issue. Hope it gets resolved asap so everyone can enjoy their devices!
Agreed! I haven't had a single issue on stock iOs on my iPhone 13 base model and now my 13 Pro Max and am running beta 16.2 currently but even previous iOs and official never affected me whatsoever. I too, wonder what the cause is, seems so random that some are plagued and some (like you and I and other haven't had a single issue). Must just be production lines and bad batched perhaps but no idea.........+!

My 13 has been a real POS since upgrading to 16.

Thankfully, I haven't experienced any WiFi bug. I have experienced the unresponsive screen bug twice since launch day. Outside of that, I have had smooth iPhone sailing. Battery life has been great as well.

I'm on a 13 Pro, and no issues at all on 16.1. Have a M1 iPad on 16.2 beta and thats fine too.

After 16.1 my phone (XS Max) went back to the earlier iPhone problem of the keyboard lagging in the message app. Such a shame since 16 was perfect.
A problem that is that many years old - most people would think they had solved it way back when, instead Apple once again just did a patch up job in their os and called it awesome...as always

The only big issue I’ve had with my 14 pro max is the swiping up to go out of an app to the Home Screen. I’ll swipe upwards over 5 times and nothing happens. I then have to hit power to have my phone go to sleep, then reawaken and try again. Then it’s responsive.
