Apple's software engineers are internally testing iOS 26.0.2, according to MacRumors logs, which have been a reliable indicator of upcoming iOS versions.

iOS 26.0.2 will likely be a minor update that addresses bugs and/or security vulnerabilities, but we do not know any specific details yet.

The update will likely be released within the next few weeks.

Last month, Apple released iOS 26.0.1, which includes the following bug fixes:
- Wi-Fi and Bluetooth may occasionally disconnect on iPhone 17, iPhone Air, and iPhone 17 Pro models
- A small number of iPhone users may be unable to connect to a cellular network after updating to iOS 26
- Photos taken under certain lighting conditions with iPhone 17, iPhone Air, and iPhone 17 Pro models may include unexpected artifacts
- App icons may appear blank after adding a custom tint
- VoiceOver may become disabled for some users after updating to iOS 26
iOS 26.0.1 also patched a security vulnerability.

macOS 26.0.2

iOS 26.0.2 could be accompanied by macOS 26.0.2.

AppleInsider recently reported that Apple has been testing an upcoming Mac model running macOS 26.0.2. The publication believes this model is likely a base 14-inch MacBook Pro with an M5 chip, which is expected to be released before higher-end 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with M5 Pro and M5 Max chips.

If they could stop Safari from heating up my phone and draining the battery so much that'd be great!

Let's hope it is a fix for known issue with iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max constant disconnecting from CarPlay shortly after connecting.

Their fix for Bluetooth on the 17 has broken it on my 16 pro Max. Since the update to 26.0.1 I’m getting cutouts and random play and pause events to my audio. Very annoying. I think they must have lost their QA team.

I’m still having a ton of issues with wireless CarPlay so I hope that’s resolved in this update!

Apple made iOS 26 way too heavy resource wise. iOS 18 on an iPhone 17 Pro would had been extremely stable and fast if an iOS 18.8 existed for it.
Most people have auto updates turned on. So Apple pushes out an update with fancy new graphics. When it runs crappy they go buy a new iPhone. Apple profits.

I’m having issues with marginal cell signals on my 17 Pro. In areas where I could get somewhat of a signal with my 14 PM, the 17 Pro can’t hold the signal. I’m trying to decide if it’s a hardware flaw that I would return the phone for or if it is something that could be fixed.

So many bugs to fix, not seen this many in an iOS ever, as for MacOS that is truely shameful.
My 2 latest irritations are screen capture not working properly and preview markup not being able to highlight text.
Wonder if they are on the list?

Another small update. But will be good if it fixes any existing bugs. Did not face any issues with 26.0.1 on my new 17 Pro Max.
