I've been having this weird redraw issue with opening websites in the background on Safari. It shows this slight line going down into the tab bar for half a second before the tab opens. I hope it's not a hardware issue. Let's hope 26.0.2 or 26.1 fixes it for me.

Apple's software engineers are internally testing iOS

What if it’s not…

What if it’s not what?

What if it’s not Apple’s software engineers who are internally testing iOS? Maybe it’s Apple’s coffee suppliers, Apple’s floor polishers, or an in-development Apple corporate AI.

Mine and the wife's phones (both 17 Pro) are the same, we live in rural area where signal is patchy but still worked previously on 13 and 14 Pro.
We swapped her phone out for new one and still the same issue. I'm certain a software update will fix it as I don't think the 2 original phones and replacement could be faulty.
I’m often finding my 17 Pro Max (on T-Mobile) holds on to 5G UC much longer in places where it usually dropped to LTE.

Thank goodness! Keep them rolling!

Now I just need to push through these updates and hope every piece hardware iOS 26 touched comes out of what seems like eternal beta mode.

Later iOS 26 beta was excellent on my 15 PM. I can't say the same for the release version on my new Air. Constant CarPlay issues, especially wireless disconnects. Seems worse using the Carlinkit 4 in my Santa Fe than it does my portable CarPlay screen I'm using in my older Volvo.

Agreed with others, this needs to fix CarPlay, WiFi and Bluetooth. I’ve honestly switched back to FM radio in my vehicle because it is so frustrating. And Apple wonders why automakers are wanting to ditch CarPlay…

If it doesn’t, I’m going to start reporting to the Apple Store to get the hardware swapped until they get the idea.

Stay the course. I do not think the features (when they work correctly) outweigh the sloppy bugs on the watch, phone, and AppleTV.

Definitely going to do that, especially being on all older devices.

(iPhone 13 Mini, iPad 9 and iPad Mini 5)

It's a little humorous how much we talk about the "long term support" as a major positive of the Apple ecosystem.

That "benefit" is reduced quite a bit when Apple does a resource intensive cosmetic UI update and then insists on foisting it on everyone, whether it's a good idea for their devices or not.

These updates can’t come quick enough. The entire lineup of OSses is a complete disgrace. My iPhone camera app won’t open at certain moments to the point where the entire phone crashes, my iMac fans are constantly spinning with not a single app open. We are not even talking about the mess Liquid Glass can be due to massive usability oversights.

These are late alpha versions at best. I’ll learn and not early adopt again.

I’m still having a ton of issues with wireless CarPlay so I hope that’s resolved in this update!

Most people have auto updates turned on. So Apple pushes out an update with fancy new graphics. When it runs crappy they go buy a new iPhone. Apple profits.

Auto-update hasn't pushed iOS 26 yet, or even sent notifications about it.
