Yeah. What people don't see in simple black holes.

We have a few guitars here at home, both electric and acoustic [and an semi acoustic too] so I know what to look for – the first thing that came to mind, after seeing the image, was GarageBand (the iWorks upgrade). Bring it on!

iWorks? don't you mean iLife?

and I would have thought you would be playing halo all day long.

New iPods, new iTunes, new :apple:TV.
We're expecting a lot on Sept 1st (as usual).
I expect two out of three. If we get the whole shooting match then I'll be happy.
But I'm not in "breath holding" mode right now.

you know the more i think about it, the fact that the teaser poster is a guitar rather than some gyrating dancer with white earbuds gets me pretty excited that this will be a good event.

DUDE those silhouette commercials are amazing lol

Since people keepm wondering what the pic means. I might just toss this out. Fell free to flame me...

6 strings.
4 dots...

it might mean 64bit itunes

i-tunes = 6 letters. (6 Strings)

yeah I told you its going to be ramdom.now go ahead and flame me.

No no no, you have it all wrong.

It's 2x2 dots, different directions facing the strings. So 2x1 then 2x6, then subtract those two, and you have 10. Take this 10, split it in half, you have 5. Reapply to strings, and you have 56. Now, divide by 6, you have 9.33. This is it. iTunes 9.3.Yes, we're regressing in software.

I would just not speculate on such a thing.

Honestly doesn't feel like this upcoming Wednesday!!! So excited.
Keynotes (from Apple) are always fun! (/Fanboy) As well as predictable because being a member here has it's perks.

Either way I'll be content when things are official. Hopefully we'll see iLife 11' and I'm looking forward to the details of the new Apple TV.

Expect almost each year iTunes has had a major update. So We should expect itunes 10 this year,.

Huh?

I believe we will see an iOs iTV thing, sure, but the guitar plastered on the freaking building? Tell me what that has to do with iTV?

Nothing.

Apple is pretty good at brand storytelling, I guess I just doubt that they are using a guitar to represent iTV as their primary announcement.

Garage band getting some new features would make more sense...

:apple:

i wouldnt doubt it.... they have the aTV under ipods on their site and they described it as an ipod for your tv.... so its possible for this event

Well if ya wanna analyze the image the obvious thing that we see first is an Apple guitar.

So Apple makes guitars ? No.
A guitarmaker made a custom run of Apple branded guitars ? No.

It's new ? Yes.
It's got the Apple logo in/on on ? Yes.

It's a new style of hole on the guitar ? Yes. ( I realize there are guitars with different shapes for the hole )

Apple is introducing a new product that looks different than the previous kind.

A new Apple TV.

Plus all the usual new line-up of iPods etc.

Introducing the :apple:Guitar!
:D

or would that be the iGuitar?

Looking forward to a new iTunes, maybe an online iTunes on the web! Definelty would use that.

As for the music players, iPod nano, shuffle. I would like to see if they are going to get rid of the scroll wheel and do something different for navigation, probably a touchscreen nano. As for the shuffle, a small 3by3 screen.

I have an iPhone 4 and use that as my music device so I'm in no need for the iPod nano and shuffle but would still like to see what they do to them.

iTunes and iTv are what I am looking forward to using the most.

I think it's pretty obvious what they're going to announce at the event. I mean, the fact that it's a six-string and not a twelve-string is very telling.

The guitar symbolizes a major update to iLife (Garage Band) and a minor update to iTunes to support the new iPods. One can only hope. :)

Nah, one can't read too deeply into the guitar bit other than it is a music centric event.

It would be neat if the new AppleTV were intro'd but that's doubtful as it is a music event.
