I am curious in what ways you feel OBS on Apple Silicon doesn't deliver. I don't use it for streaming, but I do use it for recording a lot and use NDI to send specific scenes/comps out to displays/monitors and a teleprompter simultaneously and an M1 Mac mini is able to handle, on it's own, what two 2018 i7 MacBook pros struggled with splitting the same load.
Because it sucks for streaming. I can run a Windows machine at 0.2% and a Mac at 7% steady. Windows machines never drop frames switching scenes, but a Mac will. And add the buffer for a few seconds for instant replays, and you start to see problems on end transmissions -- and that's before streaming. Start streaming an actual broadcast with a buffer, and you will lose 1-5% of your frames. Windows will go days without losing one.
It's probably due to Rosetta 2? I don't know, but I assume that's how OBS is available. It's not great. But I still need to construct scenes and play commercials and do instant replays for my streams, and there's no good Mac option. And that stinks.
