Apple Promotes iAds With Land Rover Case Study

comments-Make me a Land Rover with the option to run on water or air and you wouldn't need any advertising. :)

Exactly. I really honestly believe that applications priced over $4.99 CAN/USA funds, should have the 'FREE with iAds' option in the store. Essentially given users 2 buttons of choice to select. Make the premium applications not just add free but with significant features/options - not removing essential options "FROM" the free add. This in turn gives users an incentive: 30/60/80/90 seconds (90 being maximum) for initial application launch (and every 10th launch or every 30days launched) - not only will the developer still get paid ... BUT this slight inconvenience "may/will" prompt the user to pay for the premium application just to not be inconvenienced. BUT if quality ads like this Range Rover Evoque is like then maybe not an inconvience at all but a visual reminder for a user 'wanting' to purchase that crossover-suv ... something they can aspire two.

Just a radical thought on how iAds can benefit everyone.
PS: Keep in mind that this Evoque is catered to females - whom usually budget a LOT better than men do and the Evoque is styled by Posh Spice. ;)

I'd like to modify this thought of mine for iAds.

1. Apple to allow 2 options for the purchase/buy option to users (iOS AppStore or via iTunes).

2. Coders; create both versions of the apps as similar in features as possible! I'll elaborate on the iAd version in next point. Limit only Universal app support (all iOS apps 1 download), AirTV as well. AirPrint keep that feature please.

3. Free iAd supported apps .... 2 options:
a) when launched you'll get a nice interactive 30/60/90 second iAd that you cannot cancel unless you press HOME button. Closing or returning to the app continues in time sequence where it was exited. The idea is the allow the ad its full presence to be seen - yet making this CLEAR to the end user upon presenting the FREE app in AppStore!! This way user CHOOSES their experience upon first downloading the app! Now onward this would occur at timed intervals NOT every single time the app is launched:
1 time every 15/30 days or 1/7days or whatever .... yet having the option of relevant iAds to be deployed as "delta" updates to the user as the app gets updated.

b) with the option above the programmer gets a higher frequency of being paid?

Is this a logical and tolerable option for iAds??

Register on MacRumors! This sidebar will go away, and you'll see fewer ads.
