It’s that whole esoteric thing.

Take for instance the name of the company “Lumon” sounds like lumen and refers to light output.

Light is synonymous with knowledge.

The serpent / Satan is the fallen form of Lucifer which means light bearer.

Satan told Eve she would have the knowledge of good & evil if she partook of the forbidden fruit.

The knowledge the fallen Lucifer brought to this world through Adam & Eve separated man from GOD. In other words severed the connection man had with GOD.

The Lumon corporation is in the business of severing that connection. Thus the show title.

Think how even the employees are severed and then descend into some cold and lifeless work environment.

And the founders surname is Eagan.

Eagan comes from Aodh

In Irish mythology, Aodh was not only associated with fire but also with the sun, representing vitality and light.

I’m sure there is a lot more to unwrap but…
Interesting. Thanks for sharing. I missed all of that - was more drawn to the cinematography (the color palette is amazing) and refreshing story. As one who has spent their career inside corporations, it's very relatable.

I LOVE your other ideas! Imagine if they did this for ALL of their shows, all on the same day, a different show at different store locations all around the world. That would be incredible and seriously impact perception of Apple's commitment to their channel. I love several series on ATV+, including Severance, and really looking forward to season 2!

Did you see the SILO PR stunt?

Someone in a SILO cleaning suit attended an NBA game. Apple TV+ PR are really having fun all of a sudden.

I was wondering how SILO could promote itself, and then this popped up. Another really cool viral stunt could be someone in a SILO suit going around Manhattan cleaning windows. Just going about their day wiping down glass with a rag. 😅
