Apple Provides 60 Day Extension to All MobileMe Subscribers

I've just received the mobileme e-mail about extending my account by 60 days so I try to log in to my account and I'm told I have an invalid user id.

<sarcasm>Marvellous Scenes......NOT</sarcasm> 😡

Edit: Just ignore the second part of this post. I was using the wrong user id. 😱
 
So is the service really MobileMe?

I suggest a name change...

MobileFree

Given that seems to be more appropriate.
 
Even though we are all having issues and MobileMe is clearly not a great service/product, I still commend Apple for handling this issue so well. I appreciate that they have given these extensions and have apologized for this inconvenience.
 
so I just signed up tonight (15min ago) it said 60 days. Stupid question how many days free is that? Just 60?

EDIT: The stupid thing erased my calendar!!! 🙁
 
Zero issues with MM

I did not have any issues with MM. My domain hosting still works fine.
I did not receive a first memo about 30-days extension though.
Push is working fine.
I think Apple got a pretty big wave of the new subscribers. Thanks to the FW v.2.X.
My renewal date just keeps sliding forward.
MobileMe is here to stay for a long time...

Yes! I am so lost without iCards. All of the other online cards services suck and eat up so much of my valuable time. Right now I am using the stationary in mail but that is very limited and doesn't do me good when I am on the road.

answered my own question (via apple)

Am I eligible for the 60-day extension?
You are eligible if you are a MobileMe member whose account was active as of August 19, 2008 at 0:00 Pacific Daylight Time.

What if I am currently in a free trial period?
If you were in your free trial period on August 19 at 0:00 Pacific Daylight Time, your free trial will be extended an additional 60 days.
 
So Apple decided to delay my moving of all primary email traffic to G-Mail by 60 days? Whatever.

Still not gonna pay for the same service that deleted all my files and email. I'll take the free extension and still move on.
 
ok I signed up....
synced everything, fairly easy setup.
Mac pro, macbook and iphone...all good to go.......NOT! 😡

I made a new cal entry on my Iphone, entry showed up at me.com
but not in ICAL...WTF?!

Where is the push? I need to manually sync... NOT GOOD!
Iphone and me.com sync instantly but not with computers....
What the hell....
 
I'm on the bandwagon as well. Signed up 2 hours ago, set it to sync every 15 minutes, works beautifully.
 
I got the email about the 60 day extension, but only when I logged into me.com. The email was not pushed to my iPhone. Howzat for irony?
 
Another 60 days... At this rate I'll never actually get round to paying for a subscription.

Signed up when it was first available: 60 days free
Billing problems: 30 days free
Previous extension: 30 days free
New extension: 60 days.

180 days free, think that extends it into sometime next year! 😀
 
this was a pleasant surprise in my inbox this morning.. 🙂

my original 30 day extension was only applied last week, and now another 60 days... brilliant...
 
While I will accept the additional free time, I feel rather guilty about it. I am another one that has worked correctly since about day #2.

Are the problems experienced by others both on OS X and Windows?
