I'm a PHP / web developer, I mostly use Docker for LAMP (and similar) stacks, PHPStorm for editing, some custom shell scripts, some Homebrew compiled stuff. Maybe I'm just lucky.
Is this problem fixed by Apple's macOS updates, firmware updates?
The instructions proposed by Apple is very difficult for the usual users such as me. I think Apple should release the updates for this problem (I asked to Apple support staffs, but the answer was the proposed instructions to be done, or take Mac to Apple shop and ask to repair them.

Months later and a few Big Sur updates.... No it is not fixed. I spent a couple of hours yesterday restoring my MacBook Air M1 following Apples procedure. I am back up and running now.
