And they even failed at that. It's a useless document because it just lists the difference in logos, not what's actually different between the versions. You know it's always been a great plan when you need to release a document to help users understand the difference.
My take as well, paraphrasing but "when the product lineup becomes a confusing mess...."Poor Steve, rolling in his grave.
What a powerful testament to the collapse of Apple's ability to lead user experience.
Yes that's right. We are Apple fans because we care about the small details - they matter. And yes it is an actual problem. When you can't tell icons apart it makes it harder to find the app you want. It puts a mental load on people. It adds up.Only Apple fans can get upset over icons in this context. As if they were the actual problem.
Sometimes I think we just don't deserve any better. If that are the priorities, why should Apple care to get better? That's why new "emoticons" or whatever are praised as "major new feature" for macOS during WWDC keynotes.

By the way, I inadvertently updated the apps on my iPad. And “of course”…you can't use shared documents in icloud anymore with the old app, so to continue using them, you have to update to the creator studio version, with that annoying, non removable advertising of functions I neither need nor want.

…it’s “signing me up” to share analytics data with Apple by default.
Small, grey fine print on grey background.
“Privacy. That’s Apple”, my ass!
