Only we can do that...... lol
Are you referring to the OSX utility? That thing is a piece of garbage. You shouldn't have temperature controls on basically any lcd, because the implementation will result in some loss of detail.

I joined the beta program only to turn on Nightshift long before iOS 9.3 comes out and I would never turn it off again, if not the sun would go up during the day. I prefer a candlelight screen.I don't see the point to this app anyway. I prefer a white screen. Have no plans on changing it. As soon as 9.3 comes out I'm turning Nightshift off.
Thanks for the laugh. When was the last time you've looked at the AppStore?Good. Apple has strict approval policies to maintain a certain quality of apps.
Of which Flexbright was not.
It is annoying for the many people who have no device that supports Night Shift (and there are plenty of those), but the app looked dodgy, and awkward. I hope Apple will eventually make a Night Shift version for the Mac.
i have no problem with this. i can only imagine the mess it would cause with the average user dealing with third party apps and the troubleshooting nightmare it would cause, especially on the eve of the feature being implemented in iOS 9.3...
imagine the average user complaining that their pictures look yellow or different and associating it with the camera or their screen and apple not being able to assume in any measure the fault of any one given app
Yeah ok.... Like apple doesn't already have the best AppStore. I'd say flourishing is exactly what it is doing.
It was implemented using 64-bit libraries/framework?Still waiting for the fake excuse about Night Shift not being supported on 32-bit devices.
f.lux working on them, this working on them, no technical reason in the horizon...
This is true, but letting developers "hack around" means that people who don't have good intentions can also do some hacking. I'll take the walled garden that prioritizes security.
Seems like the reason for it all have been provided. Aside from the fact that a camera app doesn't change something systemwide outside of itself, the fact that Apple allows them seems to show that they don't have issues with other developers creating apps that do similar things that their own apps do.That has to be the lamest excuse I have seen yet, just to give support to Apple's Big Brother grip on what one can or cannot do on their own iPhone! Really? If someone goes through the trouble to download (or buy) this app, do you really think they would be puzzled as to why their screen is yellow or blue or whatever? And people claim Android users are dumb?
There are 3rd party camera apps for the iPhone...I don't see the problem there, and neither does Apple.
They're protecting their ASS because this wonderful, great new feature that will surely take up 20 minutes of the dog-and-pony show will have already existed in this app. Yet another wonderful innovation from Apple.

Sure if you play games all day long. Try to find a WIFI utility app that lets you see and control the details of wifi networks like signal strength, etc. (as one example of a type of app that is non-existent in their flourishing app store). Android has plenty, which is why I have to carry two damn phones around.
Not to nitpick, but the GS7 doesn't have Force Touch.Apple is so full of itself when it does stuff like this. I hate to say this but I'm really glad that Microsoft is finally giving them a run for their money in the desktop and laptop space. Now with something like the Galaxy S7 from Samsung which has force touch and animated photos. Honestly Apple needs to mellow out a bit and let their app ecosystem flourish.

No, I was actually referring to the "Night Shift" feature in the upcoming iOS 9.3 update. Are you referring to the OSX utility? That thing is a piece of garbage. You shouldn't have temperature controls on basically any lcd, because the implementation will result in some loss of detail.
You sure about this? None of the reviews mentioned it.

https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...perature-arent-allowed.1960416/#post-22652898It's very surprising it got approved at all isn't it?
