for a sec, i thought "Apple was putting up bananas" ...... More people would attend if they think food is on offer :)

Ha ha! I heard that when the first iPad was released. "Just a overblown iPod"

Some people never learn.

I bought the original iPad so lol no. The original iPad's purpose was media consumtion. Can you disprove me and give a legitimate function of the apple watch that warrants it's price?

Not sure what you done done with your original iPad but people are still using it now days and not just for media consumption. You could have the iPad air 2 and still use it for media consumption if you choose. We will soon find out how useful the Apple Watch will be. My point is, some people are very silly and too quick to judge a product without knowing much about it, or without it even being released to the public. They usually soon get proven wrong.

I think it's more of a test to see what happens after the initial rush of "OMG, I must have that" crowd. Just like the iPad mini was a test which did well at first, but now...:(

Yep, that's a likely scenario. Albeit, the comparison to the iPad Mini is a bit askew.
The Mini got hobbled by Apple in its 3rd iteration (no A8, just "touch id") on purpose to up-sell the more expensive Air 2. In addition to competition from the iPhone 6+.

It's difficult to have an objective discussion on the subject with so many fanboys & naysayers locking heads. People get hung up on right or wrong predictions instead of honestly comparing likes & dislikes, which a forum supposed to be about.

It would be pretty funny if Apple came out and was all like "Week long battery life!" but that won't happen. This thing is like a micro 3 year old iPhone inside. Still impressive, but I don't think I need one yet. We'll see what they have to say.

The battery life is the kicker. If its <24 hours, its going to flop unless they price it VERY low. Since pricing of "VERY low" is not Apple's thing, I think the :apple: watch will fail.

it will not fail

Tell you what. Seeing as you think the Apple watch will fail come back in 1 years time and we will look at how many Apple Watches have been sold and it will be millions. The we will see if it failed.
the thing with haters is they often are wrong and seldom right

I think your comment failed so hey what you gonna do?

Not a hater here. I own ALL Apple products. Quite a bit simply of you to classify me as a hater because my opinion differs from yours.

I still stand by my opinion that the :apple:Watch will not do as well as they want, but I also understand that no matter the number for sales, Apple will call it a Revolutionary success. LOL.
