What bothers me is this...

When purchasing my MacBook Pro two months back I was on the phone with a saleswoman. One of my major questions before buying was about the Leopard release. I asked her since it was so close to the release would I get any deal on an upgrade. She said no but asked if I was a student. I said I was and she assured me that I would get it for the student price of $69 not $116.

It's still not a price increase but a decrease of the education discountv:rolleyes:

Was Tiger $116 when it came out? I know it was $69, but was it always?

In other words, is Apple going to lower the price of Leopard eventually?

I tried both of my sisters' schools-- one a college, the other a medical school with their own custom store--- and they were both $116.

Would I get a better deal if I went to the tech store on campus?
