All MobileMe email accounts are automatically translated to @icloud mail.
People can send email to the @me or @mac email addy and @icloud addy will get it and visa versa.
What I really miss (the only thing that I really used) is a functioning bookmark sync. The bookmark sync in iCloud is totally borked. Worthless (for me that is).I have a @me.com email which I set up on my iPhone. I already migrated to iCloud and can now access my @me.com email though that. At what point can I switch to the icloud.com domain if I want?
Same here. I just tried emailing @me.com and @icloud.com. The @me.com worked but the @icloud.com just bounced back as failed.
Apple never announced any intent to bring iCloud to Snow Leopard. Moreover, iCloud has been out for an entire year. Accept reality: iCloud is never coming to Snow Leopard.Great. Not that I'll miss MobileMe that much, but I'm not planning on moving to Lion/Mt Lion anytime soon. I was under the impression that they were going to offer iCloud for Snow Leopard. Is this still going to happen?
iCloud offers most of what MobileMe did. And some stuff it didn't. For $99 less. In other words, for free.I'll miss you, MobileMe! You were way better then iCloud... Bye, iDisk... Bye, Galleries... Bye, iWeb...
No. iCloud is one of the greatest incentives to upgrade to Lion or Mountain Lion.Great. Not that I'll miss MobileMe that much, but I'm not planning on moving to Lion/Mt Lion anytime soon. No iCloud is absolutely NO incentive to move, at least not until the basic stuff is working. For a very large number of us (judging by this and Apple's own forum) it doesn't.iCloud offers most of what MobileMe did. And some stuff it didn't. For $99 less. In other words, for free.
iDisk can at least partially be replaced by Documents in the Cloud (a part of iCloud) or a separate app like Dropbox (see signature).
Galleries are more than replaced by iCloud Journals.
iWeb? Although I enjoyed it, frankly, it was only used by total amateurs. Try Coda 2 and its companion, Diet Coda. Or Weebly. Or any other website making and/or publishing service.

Sorry, bro.
Edit: cvaldes beat me to it.![]()
So I just tested that, sent myself an email to my username@icloud.com and it bounced back as not a valid email address. I have the same problem with myusername@mac.com that is no longer working.
Can anyone help? I'd like to start using myusername@icloud.com rather than @me.com ... thank you!

Here's a dumb idea but why didn't Apple just move users over to iCloud and send them the connection details or was that too hard...
.

I also just tested that, but it was bounced back exactly as others had observed. Thanks for the response, though!![]()
My @mac.com bounces back. It is also my iTunes Apple ID, which causes me problems on the iPhone with iMessage. My @me.com works.
