I did wake up at 4, and I did place the order but their servers crashed. Next time, learn to read.

AT&T's were up until 9am. Physical stores were taking orders until 11-12.

Also, Apple's site was taking reservations for a long time on the 15th. I dont think they moved the date until mid afternoon.

Sorry, it is hard to sympathize. But I do hope you get your phone soon.

Server was down so couldn't make reservations. Ratio of people allowed through the door is 15-to-1 for reservations vs walk ins. Got here at 4:30am & it's noon, and I've only moved 7 feet (have been in the very front of a mile long line). Meanwhile Betty Joe strolls right on in at 10am (10AM!) & walks right out with a new phone.

Come on Apple, get it right.

With all of the supply issues they are facing I'd say giving the folks that made their reservation priority is exactly what they should be doing.

I'm sorry to hear that. The ratio at my Apple store was lessened after an hour and a half until it was 1 to 1, it started out at 20 to 1. Although, as for how long you've been in line, I was in line for a total of 13 hours, you'll get to the front eventually.

Haha this post gave me another laugh on an already hilarious day...

but I agree with you, they should just stand at the front of the store and throw iphones into the mob. Forget reservations, pre-orders and *pft* lines...

The ratio was likely relative to the number of reservations and the stock on hand. If you have 500 phones and 400 reservations why would you go 2:1 on the line? You guys are missing the point, the idea of a reservation is to expedite the experience.

ash =o)

the problem is that you lose your phone if you don't pick up day 1, so you kinda have to allow those with reservations to go first. otherwise there will be a ton of unclaimed phones because they couldn't get into a store before closing
