I've bought iPods and two MacBook Airs from the refurb store. Never been able to tell them apart in any way from a new device, other than the box they come in. Don't feel like waiting around for a BestBuy sale, so I may take the plunge.
Main issue is warranty.

Best Buy refurbish the user assumes the warranty of the product. (Or 90 days per Best Buy policy). So if original iPad Pro 2nd generation was activated last June 2017 when it came out. You are dealing with 4 months of warranty left buying from Best Buy.
FWIW, electronics, esp. those like iPads, have a high infant mortality rate. If you use it regularly for 30 days, you're probably good for the life expectancy of the product. I'd say 90 days is plenty of time to see if you have a lemon or not. YMMV.

On topic, my issue isn't with refurbished or remanufactured items, I just don't think that there is enough value in the price discount to make them attractive alternatives. Knock 30% off? Sure, let's talk. Less than that and I'll look elsewhere, either new or eBay. Got my LTE 12.9-inch iPad off eBay for WAY less than new, refurb'd, or on sale. Different strokes......
