I truly wish they would allow you to choose the items in the bundle. I have no interest in Apple News or Apple TV, but I could be persuaded to a bundle that included Apple Music, Apple Arcade & iCloud storage.

The main point of a bundle is to use a more popular service (possible Apple Music) to help prop up a weaker one (likely Apple News in this case).

Being allowed to pick and choose your own services would defeat the whole point, especially if it just means that you end up choosing only the services you would have subscribed at any rate, while paying less overall.

They have also registered Apple One domain for Norway, registerer info shows it's directly registered on Apple's organizational number.

You guys are all way off the mark.

Apple is going to announce this week they've bought the country, Sierra Leone, in an effort to move production out of China. The entire country is going to be dedicated to producing iOS and MacOS devices.

Having ownership of an entire country means Apple can set the tax rates. Scared of another standoff with the EU, Apple intends to move it's worldwide services base from Ireland to Sierra Leone in order to maximise profits. All services revenue will be diverted through Sierra Leone. Or, to give it it's new name, App Leone.
Apple HQ right now, “holy smokes, that’s actually a brilliant idea. Someone find this guy and get him a job.”

I've read a number of posts in this thread, & have NOT yet seen one that I believe hits the key point.

IMO, Cook is (deadly) worried that AAPL will soon need to Report Paying Customers for their newer services, & that they weren't a mistake.

As such. I'll bet that's the focus on whatever they decide to bundle.

It's strictly CYA !

AAPL has gotten a HUGE stock benefit by the "AAPL Cheerleaders" who masquerade as so-called Pro Stock Analysts, even with the recent drop.

To keep the momentum going, continuing to Fool those AAPL Cheerleaders (i.e., Munster, Ives, Huberty, & Cramer) is key, & Cook will, IMO, align AAPL's strategy as best as possible to do so.

An a la carte choice option would be good.  makes money on these services as it is, and allowing folks to tailor make their bundle would further their customer satisfaction ratings.
I would like to be able to pick and choose. TV+ combined with iCloud Storage would be the only thing of interest to me

Don’t we have the ability to pick and choose which services we want now?

True, but that would likely kill the Apple TV division if it doesn't gain traction.
By bundling it in with News and Music or Arcade, it gets people to try it out since it's included.

I wouldn't immediately book Madison Square Garden for your comedy show, I'd start in a smaller venue.

Why wouldn't they go with Apple+? Most of their other services already use +, and Google already has a similar product called Google One.

Because you’d be getting multiple services for one (lower) price. It both aptly describes the service and also implies cost savings at the same time. The naming actually seems quite logical to me.

I’m surprised all the rumors say this includes Apple Music. I thought for sure the record labels would balk. I hope this is something where Apple lets you choose your bundle and not one where you have to pay for something you don’t want (like in my case Apple News+).

Do they know about Google One already?! Name seems very similar...

Microsoft OneDrive, Google One... I don't know if they were actually shooting for branding recognition here.

Anyway I hope they have simple tiers offering iCloud, that is the only service I am interested in.

Also, is that ".blog" pointing towards an Apple-hosted blogging service? If that is the case count me in.

After buying Sierra Leon, Apple is just one step away from Apple SkyNet computer.* As they said, humanity started in Africa. Guess, where it ended?

*SkyNet refers to the Terminator movie franchise, although I am firm believer in the original Terminator and Terminator 2, though the recent Terminator Genisys had a good angle on software domination. Note, that the T-800, T1000, etc., does not eliminate any targets that own Apple Stock :)

And customers should help Apple to prop up a weaker service why exactly? If the weaker service can't support itself, eliminate it.

I understand the idea of the bundle, and most companies that have multiple services do have bundles....

But I find this totally uninteresting to me personally, I get the $0.99 iCloud and am still on my free AppleTV subscription I never watch. I just don't see myself ever paying for a bundle. They just don't have a service I really want.

Sounds like to me Tuesday will be a very uninteresting and disappointing event. Time doesn't fly during boring presentations....

Record companies will get paid regardless. Why would they balk?

eh, as a verizon customer, i've already got apple music bundled and not switching to the newer plans as i've already got disney+ as well for a few years. i'll take a hard pass here.
