Hehe, I was going to post about that article after reading it earlier today. The writer also commented that they'd probably never use "Lion", seeing as they are relatively lazy creatures that sleep most of the day.

LOL!!!:D

I nearly choked in laughter....:p

Well:
10.0 - Cheetah
10.1 - Puma
10.2 - Jaguar
10.3 - Panther
10.4 - Tiger
10.5 - Leopard
10.6 - Cougar
10.7 - Lynx
10.8 - Lion
10.9 - Snowleopard :p
OS XI: Housecat!

Please not Lynx!

Would bring back awful olfactory memories of having 4 teenage sons slathering themselves with Lynx cologne before their nights out.

The smell pervaded our house for almost 10 years.

i'd rather have lynx than Puma or Cougar, the name for two Fords that handled rather, how shall i put it... interestingly. (read: wet sponge with a steering wheel).

let's hope if they use Puma/Cougar the handling of OS X isn't as bad...

Found some amusing cat names

"Margay"

"Ocelot"

"Kodkod"

"Caracal"

"Serval"

Steve would need to be pretty desperate before resorting to these though....

There's a big cat, wiki this if you don't believe me, called 'Jeofferry's Cat'

That'd be great.

Isn't that true for most of the big cats? Maybe lions are just the most obvious ones lying in the open fields while sleeping. Other cats might be more hidden. Maybe the lion is also too much of a dominant creature and tigers, leopards and so on are more subtle, sneaky (not necessary in a bad way) and elegant. So the lion might fit better to windows.

I have, it goes under my arms every morning...

...shudders at my own memories of wearing Lynx deodorant at 15 years old...

If I can offer you just one piece of advice, get a basic, non-hip Anti-perspirant/Deodorant that doesn't have much of an odour. Something like a Rexona for Men spray. Something that is going to stop you sweating so much (which Lynx doesn't) and stops you smelling (which Lynx does but replaces regular BO with the smell of teenage angst) and you will be far better off in the long run.

If you want a nice scent, get a light cologne, like Davidoff's "Cool Water" and use very, very sparingly.

That was perfect Chundles! I was thinking exactly the same thing, I just couldn't be bothered typing it. :p

Cool Water is great, but my other fave is Black Code.

"Steve Jobs is really good with a bowstaff. He spent like 3 hours shading the Apple logo in Liger. And he would never name it Tigon because they're stupid and they weigh like a buttload." :D

I wonder what the codenames for XI will be? Birds? I think birds would be the best—there are plenty of birds of prey that have neat names, like Eagle, Falcon, Hawk, Peregrine, etc.
