Have a Blackbook 2.0 Ghz C2D, but says not fulfilling system requirements when i try to install.
My blackbook is listed as Macbook 2.1 in the model identifaction. Thought this update should be for this model....

Why dont Apple use the model identifaction number when idientifying models..?

This is pushed down through Software Update. If it doesn't show up there, then it's not for your computer. I don't understand why you guys keep trying to install it.

Hummm. I wonder if this will fix the problem that I had when connecting my MBP to internet sharing on my mac mini at my girls house after updating to 10.5.8. I was beginning to think maybe the mini's airport was going out after being on since March 3, 2006.:D My iPod Touch would connect and get safari, but when the MBP would connect, it would have a self assigned IP and no internet access and even then, the mini's connection would frequently become unstable. I ended up having to just use my backup netgear wireless router. (Which I wouldn't mind if I had the time or patience to set up port forwarding correctly:rolleyes:)

Woo hoo!

WOW! I have a hard drive attached to my airport extreme I just bought and was upset at the speed it delivered media from the hard drive to itunes. Then I read this update and realized I was running on battery power. Updated and bam! Thanks Apple for all the recent updates - so many lately.

I have MacBook 3,1 at work and after updating to 10.5.8 I have the same wifi problems, but why my MacBook is not listed? Anyway I replaced IO80211Family.kext from 10.5.8 with one from 10.5.7 and problem solved, but still what are they thing? And I can bet they did the same with this update just replaced kext with old working one.

Yeah, fixed it. I am happy. First time a OS X update (the 10.5.8) broke my install. I guess we all have to go through it sometime or another.;)

wow apple released so much updates in this days :)
update everything & all working fine ever better :D

um... i recall one of the major improvements with 10.5.8 was concerning Airport wifi connectivity. although i had personally noticed my wifi definitely improved after updating to 10.5.8, this new issue is starting to smell a whole lot like iPhone OS 3.0 killing wifi for iPod touch 2G.

try telling that to some iPod touch 2G owners who bought iPhone OS 3.0.

Since I purchased my 13" MBUnibody in early May, I guess that makes it an early 2009 model.

I feel excluded.

Yeah, I bought 3.0 the day it came out (only took 2 days to download it) After 3.0, my wifi on the touch did get degraded by QUITE a bit, is that what you are talking about, or was there complete brickage of iPods?

My internet provider will appreciate me not calling them anymore about my messed up wireless. Should have put two and two together and figured out my problems began around the time I did the 10.whatever update.

/bad mac user ... bad!

Alternate Updates?

I have a 2007 Macbook Pro, so this update doesn't work for me. However, I need either this update or a similar one, as Snow Leopard essentially ate my internet and has refused to cough it up without an ethernet cable. Are there any alternates out there to fix different models? (Specifically the 07 Pro)?
