The update fixed my problem.
I goto NAIT and they have a wireless network throughout the entire campus, as I move from place to place my MBA keeps getting dropped off the network, at first i thought it was the cisco access points, but now I guess it was because the mac had trouble switching between multiple access points and keeping the same IP. Now the switching is seamless and I can connect to the network in the morning and stay connected all day long, no matter where I am on campus.
I think the update was just to fix connectivity on a network with multiple access points. It wont help you if you are just connecting to the same router/access point, and it wont fix range either...
