Why bother? Seriously? What documented features do you think your AirTags are missing by not having the very latest number according to MacRumors? Mine are working perfectly, not on the latest number as posted here last I looked. Don’t you have better things to do with your time? One of mine is.291, the other two are .276. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

For me, it is the lack of family sharing. First: why is it different than with any other Apple device? Second: the effect is unneccessary triggering of tracking allerts...

this is odd. both my air tags just disappeared from Find My app. wondering if they are updating. just occurred within the last 5 minutes.

Update: finally showed back up with NO firmware update lol

Three of my AirTags are on 1.0.225, one on 1.0.276. 🤷‍♂️

Oddly the AirTag that is not normally with me has updated, the others are usually in the same room or in my pocket.

Just keep reading post #18 over and over again until you understand why you haven't gotten the series firmware update and that all the incremental "releases" don't mean that you're falling even more behind.

I’ve disconnected it from my iPhone and have connected with the iPad now. I don’t dare to connect it back with the phone just before going on holiday. Not keeping a track of the battery drainage anymore since the iPad generally stays at home.

I swear, these are borderline unusable. AirTags drain + rapid battery degradation on the 12 series has been a nightmare
