Still waiting for a firmware update for the current gen MacBook Pro retina. My 13" has so many issues connecting to wifi unless bluetooth is off and I know several other people with both 13" and 15" from the current generation that have the exact same problem. Any chance a fix is incoming?

I can also attest to the "install twice" event. I restarted the first time and upon re-opening the app store, it notified me that I had to install it again. The second go around, it took a slight bit longer to install with the fans going full blast for about 1 second. After boot, it shows that I have no further updates.

My history even shows two installs:

Happened to me with 10.9.2 install from AppStore a while ago.

I had exactly but also exactly the same.

external monitor...

When I use my external monitor all day at work, and just disconnect it- I have a 100% battery drain overnight. I have been shutting it down for a year to avoid this, but if I disconnect and restart the machine it will not drain.

I wonder if this will fix that issue. I close all programs out before disconnecting it, so no programs are still running. Been a bugger to figure out.

Problems with Safari

Hello, I also did an SMC update on my 13'' MBA (mid 2013). However, I also had to do it twice and now when I open safari, it just drains my RAM in less than a minute. Please give me some advice on what to do.
P.S. I have 8gb RAM

My Air, (Mid-2013, bought Mid May 2014), does not even show the update, doesn't show as installed.

My SMC version however, is 2.13f9

Interesting. Looks like yours came from the factory with the latest version before they released it as an update.

Thats what I thought. When I looked into my serial number more, it shows a build date of May 20, 2014.

You could be correct though.

I think this may have been posted earlier, but I am on 10.10 dp1 on a 2013 11" Air and my firmware is...

SMC Version (system): 2.12f140

So apparently Yosemite updates it during its install.

been having "trouble" with this myself on my june13 11"
looking forward to installing this update later tonight :)

I hope they release one for Retina Macbook Pro's. I've had 'sleep wake' issues since 10.9 and still having problems in 10.9.3. Been 6 months, still no fix. Crossing my fingers.

Hm, perhaps i should notify Apple about a typo :D
"Skjeldent", should say "Sjeldent" (Translates to Rarely)

Im sure they are working on it if it's a well known issue :)

Mine not fixed

I have been having this issue, but maybe it's unrelated. Right now when I don't suspend my VMware windows instance before closing the lid the battery will drain overnight. I was hoping this might correct that but no luck.

update:

HEY, I THINK IT WORKED!!!!

second time resetting seems to have done the trick. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

:):):):):):):):):):):):):):)

Hope it sticks! Is yours getting really hot as well or is the fan just running out of control unnecessarily? Mine is getting HOT, and I've traced it to the CalanderAgent process via Activity Monitor. Anyone have a solution for that? Getting really varying reports and the easier "fixes" I've found out there don't seem to fix the problem. Laptop running super hot and Mail/CalanderAgent are the culprits.

It's still a lot better but no where near as nice as pre-mavericks.

Mine has been getting hot too. I used to keep garage band open in the background 24/7 plugged into my keyboard but at idle with nothing going on GBand was using 20 -30% of my CPU at all times. Mail seems to be a big CPU utilizer too. I have to keep both of them closed all the time to keep the load off the CPU. I'll look into calendar now too.

What a mess.

Thing is, I love Mavericks. Just wish that mail and calendar would be fixed!!!
