I still have the issue where the top menu bar blinks like crazy and won't stop blinking. I need to go to System Preferences and hide it as it's so distracting.
brand new macbook pro 16"Do you have a Mac mini?
Thanks.. on mine, its already unchecked. When I go to check it and it does the connection work.. it fails and I get this error.Actually I installed the public beta and could not get it to work. Even worse, when I booted back to Catalina it stopped working there. I wound up turning off the setting for the Apple Watch in System Preferences/Security and Privacy and rebooted. When I turned it back on it now works in Catalina again. I have not booted back to Big Sur yet.
yup.. same here. go to launch, freezes, crashes, reboots..If you use Parallels 16 I would hold off for a bit. Parallels 16 causes a panic fault and crashes Mac OS 11 and shuts down the computer.
I have the same bugs since 10.12... and with a new Mac and a fresh install , very weird..I guess so, because I tested it and it didn't happen to me
I can’t install it even with Parallels uninstalled as something is causing an issue.fusion beta works w/o issue
I thought I would provide the dump from error and see if anyone knows what is causing this? Continuous reboots even though I uninstalled Parallels.

Have a read of the release notes. Is the 2020 iMac supported in Mac OS Big Sur Public Beta?
I encountered this kernel panic too. It was with a mojave vm in big sur beta 5.
There are however temporary workarounds. Of course everything is temporary with betas.
Workaround 1.
Use the VMWare Fusion Technology Preview instead of Parallels - which is free for now. This worked for me - but I don't see it as a permanent fix.
Workaround 2.
Switch to the Apple hypervisor under "Hardware - > CPU & Memory -> Advanced Settings" of your VM's settings. I haven't tried this but others have had success with this.
O M G! THANK YOU! Parallels has been crap for support but you fixed it! Thanks!
Any other big issues besides watch unlock and parallels? I have the same machine and have been wondering whether I should try installing over the PB1 which has been decent for me.brand new macbook pro 16"
You’re joking I assume.Any one else having issues with parallels 16 with this beta 5
No I wasn't. After 5 crashes and a bit of research for parallels 16 to work on Big Sur beta 5 the Adaptive Hypervisor HAS to be set to apple not Parallels (Mine was set to Parallels) just trying now to update to latest windows insider release will repost if any problems exist. see screen shot belowYou’re joking I assume.
