Depends what you use it for. It's on my (only) laptop and I've no problems. However, I have a full backup so have peace of mind in case something crops up.it safe to put on primary Mac ?
WHERE IS HOMEKIT SUPPORT APPLE!?
Yeah, they warned everyone in the previous version then killed them off in the next. Dunno why they’d change this now.Based on how Apple treats iOS 32-bit apps, I think they will just cut the support like removing a tumor, without hesitation.
Betas will never be okay as a primary OS.it safe to put on primary Mac ?
Really depends on what you're using the system for and your ability to diagnose / circumvent problems. Me, I'd rather catch incompatibilities in iOS and MacOS before they go GM. Now, that may mean not loading beta 1 on my primary Mac, but likely subsequent betas.Betas will never be okay as a primary OS.
I'm glad they are dropping support for 32-bit apps. I'll get back the 25Mb of space needed to support both
Seems most people that are using the betas as their primary driver don't ever have back ups and then come back on the forums freaking out. But yes, I agree.Really depends on what you're using the system for and your ability to diagnose / circumvent problems. Me, I'd rather catch incompatibilities in iOS and MacOS before they go GM. Also having a viable rollback strategy makes a pretty huge difference....mitigates risk.
Good, now we have abysmal 25 more MB on your computer and no more backward compatibility.I'm glad they are dropping support for 32-bit apps. I'll get back the 25Mb of space needed to support both
Is APFS more stable now? Or is the same version as in 10.13.0?
Should I format with APFS when installing on a Micron based Crucial SSD? Any experience with APFS on third party SSDs? Thank you very much.
Ok. Earlier it was said 10.13 was the last to run 32-bit apps without compromise, 10.14 would have the warnings and 10.15 would cut the support. I guess they revised the plan.
I thought the first version of APFS had some issues, plus mine is not the official Apple SSD, but a third party SSD.What instability have you heard of?
Have you uninstalled any extensions that might be causing issues?Safari has become unusable for me in both 10.13.4 and iOS 11.3. Freezese every few seconds of browsing and i have to force quit. Firefox is my only working browser right now. Thank God i didnt update my phone...then i'd really be screwed.
10.14 will not allow 32-bit apps. So now they're going to begin warning people in the current 10.13, so when 10.14 is released this September, people aren't surprised when their 32-bit apps stop working.
Heh....I think that's one of the least endearing things about this place. Doesn't seem to matter what verbiage Apple puts in front of them, many/most aren't going to read it before they sign up.Seems most people that are using the betas as their primary driver don't ever have back ups and then come back on the forums freaking out. But yes, I agree.
Photos version 3.0 (3271.12.200) it totally dorked my photos library. Thank goodness for my Carbon Copy Cloaner backup.
What Apple said is that 10.13 would be the last OS to run 32-bit apps to run without compromise. Nothing was said about 10.14, much less 10.15.
Nothing was revised.

Adobe has his work cut out for them then, nearly all the Adobe apps running on my Mac are 32 bit.10.14 will not allow 32-bit apps. Half right. Nothing was said about bothering ordinary users already in 10.13.x. Just aggressive warnings in 10.14.
Macrumors in June: "Starting in January of 2018, all new apps submitted to the Mac App Store must be 64-bit, and all apps and app updates submitted must be 64-bit by June 2018. With the next version of macOS after High Sierra, Apple will begin "aggressively" warning users about 32-bit apps before eventually phasing them out all together."
Tried the Sonnet eGFX Breakaway Box with Vega Frontier Edition GPU. Hot plug works seemlessly with 10.13.4 beta. No need to logout/login after connecting to TB3 port. No more hanging at shutdown or kernel panics at disconnect. System Profiler even correctly identifies the GPU as Vega Frontier Edition.eGPU test time![]()
