As an IT director at an 800 person company, I am excited! Apple rarely listens to its enterprise customers and this is a welcome change to be so ready for enterprise features so early into a new product release.

This update improved multiple aspects of the OS. iCloud messages can now synchronize. Everything looks sharper now. I really like it. It can now also receive text messages from my iPhone. I’m going to update my persona tomorrow morning and will report the results. I think the key is to have enough light when going through the process.

after I got to 1.0.2 the option disappeared, but then on reboot I had the option to get the developer betas. I am in the developer program. it‘s downloading now.
No such luck. I rebooted, shut down, restarted, and so on. The configuration to set it to beta just won’t appear. Oh well. No beta for me.

Try adding your personal AppleID as a Developer, then reboot.
I didn’t have to add it, it was already populated, all I had to do was enable Beta Updates: Don’t give up it’s worth it.

I’m one of those old folks who have separate iCloud accounts versus iTunes AppleID’s. Separately, I use my iCloud account for the main login plus the iTunes account for media and purchases. My developer account is the iTunes account. When I had it under 1.0, that option to enable betas was there. I think updating it to 1.0.2 eliminated that option. I suppose I can try logging in with my iTunes account. We’ll see what havoc it plays.

I have a Developer account separately from my Personal AppleID, but I added my personal AppleID as another developer, as if I was an employee.

What you can do is make both accounts part of a Family Plan.

Reporting on this 1.1 Beta, it brought some new features but it feels that it seems to struggle, and it even crashed.
safari starts acting up when opening about 20 tabs. I’ll find out if it’s site related (too many Ads) or something else.

Not sure if I want to do that, but I did log out of my iCloud account as the main account and log into the iTunes/Developer account. The beta is ”Preparing Update…” as I type this. We’ll see if the option disappears again when I sign back into my main iCloud account. Since my iTunes account isn’t an iCloud account, I get lots of messages not matching errors that pop up rather frequently.

A very odd thing is I can’t seem to make both accounts part of my Family Plan, which makes it annoying since I cannot

I’ve been using the beta for a couple of days now and I find it actually is a lot more unstable than the 1.0.2 release. The only thing I’ve seen that has improved is the Persona. It’s still not great, but it is somewhat better. Missing ears and bad hair are still major problems with that. But here are the problems I’ve seen:

1) Safari is unstable. I’ve gotten errors that it’s an unsupported browser, recommending I use Safari or others. It also reloads a lot on its own, which I suspect is due to web errors
2) The environment may disappear, giving nothing but a completely black environment
3) The Control Center floating arrow is often missing
4) Eye tracking seems worse than before, making it harder to hit certain controls, especially on the corners of windows. Problem is worse when there are selectable items next to the control I’m trying to hit. I’ve chosen the wrong control so many times. In some cases, I can’t ever select the control I want to hit. It’ll keep flitting to the control next to it.
5) Eye tracking sometimes doesn’t work at all, making me redo the setup
6) The floating connect button above Macs does nothing when clicking on them. Have to go to Control Center directly.

The first couple seem to be fixable with a Vision Pro reboot. The floating connect button didn’t work on 1.0.2 either, but I was hoping they’d fix it.

If anyone has noticed any benefits, please post it.

- I did noticed it. Could it be a site with a ton of ads? Also, try deleting cookies and website data.

2) The environment may disappear, giving nothing but a completely black environment
- Apparently Zoom was causing this issue for me.

3) The Control Center floating arrow is often missing.
- It stopped happening to me after I stopped using either Zoom or Teams. Look up and wait a couple seconds for it to appear. Only move your eyes. There’s a setting that allows you to select how high you need to look to get the arrow for the control center.

- Try relaxing your eyes. Recalibrate your eyes. It’s very reliable for me.

5) Eye tracking sometimes doesn’t work at all, making me redo the setup
- Are you using lens inserts with different corrections.

6) The floating connect button above Macs does nothing when clicking on them. Have to go to Control Center directly
- That happens to me sometimes. Hopefully, they will fix it next time.

The funny part is that it is telling me to use the browser that I’m using.

I don’t use any of those apps. So I don’t know what’s actually causing it.

I end up recalibrating quite often. It loses tracking a lot.

Yes, I do use prescription inserts. If that’s the cause, then Apple needs to fix that bug.

Unfortunately, it’s never worked for me. Not a single time.

My prescription inserts are causing objects to get distorted. The perspective of my view gets slightly tilted to one side. I was at the Apple Store this afternoon and try other inserts that had the same amount of correction on both lenses and there was no distortion. Could you please check if even after adjusting your review by holding the crown for a few seconds, Could you please check if even after adjusting your review by holding the crown for a few seconds, the perspective of the objects you’re looking at is incorrect?

I haven’t noticed any distortion on my inserts. Quite often when I first put on the headset, though, it does ask me to redo the IPD by holding down the crown.

My prescription is 0.25 one higher than the other, reason why I’m wondering if that’s the reason for the change in perspective, or is it that the insert is defective.
If you are still experiencing issues, as your last resort try doing a full reset.
