In a.... uh, comical (?) way, it's interesting you make a product so loseable you need to pair it w/ a device to help you find it.

Too bad they didn't make them cheap enough/disposable enough to warrant a multi-pack that actually touts this as a sales incentive!

[Chestnut Tools' the "losable" pocketknife, 5 pack]
Make a product lose-able? Thats a new one. SMH. Apples innovation! Schiller: "And today we would like to introduce the first of its kind ear phones that are.... you guessed it, Lose-able! That's right, we had the courage to make a small electronic device that you can actually loose! Its the first of its kind. Can't innovate my A**."

Sooooo thankful for the Apple ID device list. Even allows you to remove them from your account. THAT has been a missing feature since day one. Previously doing so required access to the device OR it needed to be done in iTunes. Which unfortunately many of them would be grayed out and took up a slot until they eventually were removed over time.
That is in the iCloud appleID section in iOS 10 and previous as well. They just moved it.

lol, am I the only one to have to have an issue in settings ? iCloud is not showing up any more. It should be next to iTunes and Wallet. It's just not there. Tried to call Apple, and they were quite thankful that I reported it, but couldn't give me any advice. Any suggestions ?

Okay, so I found it at the top of settings, under Apple ID, iCloud, iTunes & App Store. (rolls eyes)
Whats scary is they had no idea about it and that it had simply moved. I cant imagine working for Apple as a "technical support genius" and not having more info than the general public on a rumor forum.

No Dark Mode... But usually the bigger changes are installed in later betas, so I'm still holding out hope

Update! My Apple Pencil is still going strong. I think it's reporting an incorrect battery value is all.

Did anyone else notice their storage usage drop when plugging into iTunes after the upgrade for the first time after the upgrade?

Not sure if this was due to personal habits or storage optimization. I wish I had taken before & after screenshots now.

This is a beta release, why would you expect technical support to have any information on it? Beta software is typically not eligible for support. Training support staff on Beta features that may or may not make it into the final releasing product would be an enormous waste of resources.

iPhone 6s with unfortunately 16GB.
Installed 10.3 PB and have about 1.5GB more available space than before, which is a big deal on such a device.
And it's faster, too. With "it" I mean pretty much everything.
I have quite a bit more space available too on my 16GB iPhone 6 (work phone). The same downloaded playlist of music take up less space than before. The downloaded content for Brainscape takes up a lot less space than before.

I had about 500 MB free before the update. I currently have 1.87 GB free with 2.1 GB of pictures downloaded onto the phone that had largely been purged to get me down to that 500 MB before. (I've been on the developer beta since the evening after it was released.)

Same for me. APFS seems to be much more efficient.

Apple today seeded the first beta of an upcoming iOS 10.3 update to public beta testers for testing purposes, more than a month after releasing iOS 10.2 and two days after providing the iOS 10.3 beta to developers.

Beta testers who have signed up for Apple's beta testing program will receive the iOS 10.3 beta update over-the-air after installing the proper certificate on their iOS device.

Those who want to be a part of Apple's beta testing program can sign up to participate through the beta testing website, which gives users access to both iOS and macOS Sierra betas. Betas are not stable and include many bugs, so they should be installed on a secondary device.

A major 10.x update, iOS 10.3 introduces a new "Find My AirPods" option to help users locate a lost AirPod. Located in the "Find My Friends" app, the Find My AirPods feature marks the last known location where AirPods were connected to an iOS device via Bluetooth and it allows the AirPods to play a sound to make finding them nearby easier.

Along with a Find My AirPods feature, the update also includes a shift to Apple File System (APFS). First introduced in 2016, APFS is optimized for Flash/SSD storage and includes strong encryption and other important features.

Apple recommends all users make an iCloud backup before installing iOS 10.3, as the update will cause the iPhone's file system to switch over to Apple File System.

iOS 10.3 also introduces a tweaked app animation, a new Apple ID profile in the Settings app, a better breakdown on how iCloud storage is being used, SiriKit improvements, new iCloud analytics options, and more. For a full list of what's new in iOS 10.3 beta 1, make sure to check out our dedicated post.

Heads up....if you own an iPhone 6 or 6s I would seriously think twice before upgrading to build 10.12.3. I mistakingly did and My iPhone 6s isn't not functioning well at all. The Touch ID no longer works and it won't let me set a new fingerprint id. I did a re-set etc etc and still no go. Siri no longer functions well either in not being able to find simple names in my phone log. Cant understand what the motive behind this is but it makes me suspect that devices 2 years old and older are not capable of running the newer builds. Apple should take some responsibility by advising the consumer of this flaw and being direct in telling the customer that these upgrades are strictly for newer phones, computers etc. Sad indeed and unsavory on Apples part. Just my personal opinion.

Well I don't expect them to actually support it. BUT I would think they are inquisitive enough to know there is a new release and have some idea about it. Its not that difficult. Especially since its available to the general public now if they want it. Most users here that DONT work for Apple have the gumption to check things out a bit. I mean I am very interested in the new software and technology so if I actually worked for Apple as an IT support person (Genius) I would definitely have a better answer than "Hmm no idea what 10.3 is or what it does sorry". That's all I am saying.

What's 10.12.3 in relation to iPhone 6 or 6s? Why do you think your particular issues are because of some sort of inherent flaws that widely apply to older devices when the vast majority don't seem to experience anything like that?

10.12.3 is the current Mac OS for computers, iMac MacBook MacPro etc
10.3 is a beta release for iOS devices. iPhone, iPad etc.

Why would upgrading your Mac to MacOS 10.12.3 affect your phone?

Anybody else still showing "1" update in the Settings app after downloading this beta. I installed it this AM and it's continually showing I have 1 pending update, but I can't find it anywhere?

I assume you mean iOS 10.3 beta 1, which I installed on my iPhone 6 earlier in the week. It is fantastic. Application and system data takes less space with the APFS file system, freeing up a couple of precious GB on my 16GB company-issued phone. Siri works fine. I dictated a responsive text message to my son this evening while I was driving. And TouchID works just fine. I even re-entered my left thumb because it has a small cut on it that was messing up recognition.

I suggest you do a fresh restore of your phone using iTunes and 10.3 beta 1.

I concur , 6s here and none of those mentioned issues. Working just as well as 10.2.1 and faster/smoother.

I installed the 6.3 beta on my iPhone six yesterday, I haven't had a single problem.

I stand corrected.....I meant the latest build for iPhone. Spoke w AppleCare and they were not able to solve the issue. In short imho..... I would refrain upgrading to the newest build if your device is 1.5 to 2 years old.

I have already done a fresh restore and still the issues are at hand. You are one of the lucky ones I guess. It seems to be a random problem taking place.... and with the laws of probability in play to me its just not worth the risk considering what and how much you pay for. Without sounding paranoid...i'm wondering if this done intentionally to force the consumer to buy a new phone?

Considering these types of things are generally isolated oddities essentially, it would hardly be something that would be done intentionally.

I would like to agree but from my experience it has happened too many times.
1. 2008 MacBook Air - updated to new build in late 2011....computer lagged and within 2 months the motherboard was fried. Had to buy a new 2012 MacBook Air.
2. 2012 MacBook Air - downloaded the latest build in late 2016 and again within 2 months this time both the motherboard and the SSD hard drive fried. Again had to buy a new Computer - 2016 MacBook Pro w touch bar.
3. Now iPhone 6s and nothing functions properly with re-set, backup via iTunes etc.
FYI - the computers were used for basic tasks i.e.: internet surfing, watching videos, movies etc. No film or music production or editing of any kind.
Isolated oddities or coincidence?
Just saying.....

Certainly personal anecdotal experiences, but that's mostly it essentially.

Can you expand on the benefits of this? We use O365 and wondering how this correlates with your comment.
If you're using O365 you can now enforce MFA and users can use the built-in mail client in iOS to connect to mail without requiring an app password to connect. You get the native, browser-based experience when adding an EXO account to your iPhone's mail client.

Previously, to enforce MFA you'd need to use the Outlook app or you would need to create an app password and put that in as your password when configuring mail.

There's also iPhones, iPads, and Macs in the "Find my" app. I don't suppose you're arguing all of those are particularly losable.

A very good observation. I don't think that's the case though mainly because I did a device backup before the upgrade; they should have been removed at that time. The time between that backup and the upgrade was only a few minutes. The bar dropped considerably and I have a 64GB model so I'm guessing it's in the hundreds of megs at the very least.
