Can someone test the Valley Metro App, Chase app, and the Tesla app and battery drain? I’m tempted but I can’t unless these apps work.
The apps you can check here:
The battery life will depend on your device and your current battery health.

I believe you just have to delete the profile on the final RC release. And if there is a “newer” one, your device should update to do that and you are good to go.
I do miss Split View. Not sure why that can’t exist with this new multitasking system.
Man, I hope they make that into an option. Split view is all I use. I have no need for nor can I process more than two screens at a time. But the problem with plain split view is that so many apps don’t support it, including the Apple settings appI don’t see that anywhere in settings.
Those 3 dots were terrible when trying to use Apple Pencil to scribble in a URL in Safari, it would somehow always pass on the 3 dots and do something weird instead of just keeping on letting me write.I agree, it was much quicker to enter into Split View with three dots at the top, instead of having to manually drag and resize two different windows, like now.
This has been the behavior on Windows since forever, by the way, and macOS also adopted it as an option at some point.A double tap at the top of a window toggles back and forth from full screen to the previous size and position. So elegant.
Cool to see, but it will scroll the window all the way to the top in the process.A double tap at the top of a window toggles back and forth from full screen to the previous size and position. So elegant. It's pretty impressive how easy and intuitive the windowing is using touch only. Pretty impressive. This was a long time coming.
whoops.. I chose full screen. You were able to get classic Split View back?
It is interesting how different people like to interact with their hardware and software in different ways. I could never - and I mean never – get used to how multitasking worked before. I found myself repeatedly having to Google how to do it 😜 I’m not writing this as any criticism of you just noting how it’s interesting people interact with the technology in different ways. I think in one of the Apple executive interviews a few years back they mentioned that the system offers different ways of doing the same thing. People figure out how they like to work with it. switching applications on a Mac Dash same thing. There are multiple ways to do it.MikeSmoke, it’s not so much the Split Screen that I miss (though 18’s implementation definitely required fewer steps), but SlideOver. It’s a pain to emulate SlideOver in the new system. I decided to turn multitasking off and add Control Center shortcuts to open the apps I use prior in SlideOver, restoring a 2-gesture option of slide down and tap. The only thing easier is that if I’m just back and forth between Messages (or Music) and Safari for instance, I just Command+Tab now.
I do miss having a quick and easy swipe in from the right to quickly pull up apps, though.
Instructions unclear. Walked out to intersection to caress a traffic light with my iPad and everyone just thought I was weird.Split screen is as simple as opening a second app, holding the traffic light, and selecting side by side. You also now have fluid sizing between the apps, not the 3 locked in snap to grid options in 18. A little bit different yes, but easy to get used to. You can double tap the top of either app to make it full screen, double tap again to go back to the split. I think it's at least as easy as using a mouse.
Hahaha. I will say that the biggest issues I have had is with HomeKit...I should not have updated. I have a very automated home and just about everything you can think of is Automated in my house...lights, doors, garage, TVS..etc. This has been a nightmare for HomeKit. Esepcially with all the sensors, devices, and lights. I will say, it pushed me to get rid of all my Matter devices. I bit the bullet and now I have 3 main hubs that run everything and that has really helped..esepcially with light switches being wired into the wall. But goodness...I have been living in Smart Home Hell with these betas this year.I've actually been running this since beta 1, it's surprisingly stable. There isn't really anything outside of some visual glitches and some compatibility with RCS text messaging that I've seen. (The text messaging sometimes fails on picture messages).
To open an app in SlideOver on iPadOS 18 and older, the easiest way for me was to slowly pull up from the bottom edge to reveal the dock, medium hold an app (the icon expands but not too long or the context menu pops open), and then drag it up towards the right side of the display (but not to the edge) and release. This opened apps in iPhone-sized apps over top of the full screen app. On more powerful iPads, one could interact with both simultaneously. A simple flick to the right at the top edge of the app would hide it, and swiping in from the right edge would bring it back.It is interesting how different people like to interact with their hardware and software in different ways. Here's mine from the public beta. Obviously it's better. I don't know why yours is whiter. With the PDF being a black and white document the icons that come up when you hit the share icon (copy, print, save to files) are so faint on the white background that you can barely read which icon is which...
I have HomeKit and it all seems fine, I have matter, zigbee, Scrypted, and Home Assistant running. Try starting simple like rebooting your HomePods and Apple TVs. (I am not going to update Apple TVs and HomePods until public release as these are the home hubs and has to remain reliable).Hahaha.
