Do you think a trillion dollar company might be able to fix the mess they created with the Contacts app in OS26.1. Remarkably - sill not fixed in 26.2. What are the odds that 26.3 will see it working again?? Slim.

Fixing their own steaming pile of poop doesn't "make number go up"

That's all Tim cares about now.

Agreed. It's been awesome on my Mac Studio M2 Max and MacBook Air M3.

I love how people think it's Apple's fault and everyone is experiencing things that is unique to them. As if posting in Apple Forums will get them to go, "Oh, so and so told us to fix Safari, we'd better get on that." Love it.
Running fine on my MacBook Air M4...been pretty solid from the first beta.

Man just give us a button to make the corners less round. The old radius looked great. It's not even like the roundness is consistent with the corners of the display - desktop macs have square-cornered screens, and macbooks only have rounded top corners.

I'm getting back into Photography after getting burnt out. I just recently bought a MBP M4, 1TB, 24gigs of RAM. I have never owned a Macbook in my life. I have Tahoe installed. I haven't really noticed any bugs except when I sometimes go into Applications, it will show 10 Adobe CC icons. Other than that being so new to using a Macbook, I probably wouldn't know a bug if it kicked me in the face. But I must say coming from Windows my entire life an career, I'm a moron for waiting so long!

I don't think they read that either
You make lots of ‘statements’, but no verifiable evidence!
From my understanding of these forums, this a place to share information and knowledge, not a small dingy bar, on the corner of 4th and East, where you can drown your sorrows, and be afforded underpaid bar staff to share your woes.

Actually this demonstrates, something that won’t be liked in here, and that is, if an issue is serious or noteworthy, it gets airtime.
Too many on here, think macrumors is a representative sample of the entire Apple install base, when their issue is 0.00001% of others.

P.S. LOL is so 90’s, that the rest of us have moved on.

LOL to you! "Lots of love!" Thank you macrumors for taking care of the outliers also!

Couple of days living with Tahoe. Not too bad IMHO apart from despising the massively rounded corners that are ugly and inconsistent and what the heck have they done to the Apple TV app? Why is making all the poster art ratio portrait forced on us and more importantly removing the names of all the titles?! I've curated all my home movies into TV seasons for years – including a season for each year of my son since he was born and he's now 17. It's completely impossible to navigate. I'd live with the portrait images if only they'd give us the names back, what on earth were they thinking? I've reported it to Apple and asked for the option to have it back.

In all honestly I have not noticed any major bugs, other than the Finger Finder window redesign (stealing 20px of realestate) and the transparency, which ends up showing blurred out text, multiple corner radii - my daily visual UX in Finder is a significantly annoying messy result of 'features'. I just hope someone comes to their UI design senses one day...
"Look, pharaoh, I have created a new style for enclosing hieroglyphics--a cartouche within a cartouche!!"

Pharaoh: "Fire that guy."

It's mirrored from iOS. On your phone go to Settings and look at the search bar at the bottom, the content scrolls behind it. Same in Safari with the search bar. So far makes sense.

The difference is in MacOS however is the side bar is supposedly a liquid glass element, and you can't have glass on glass, so the search bar doesn't have the required glassy-ness to clearly seperate it from the content behind. So you end up with the mess above.

Solution is to do the fade below the bar and leave nothing behind. Just one of those areas where the UI hasn't been quite thought through.
Yup, Liquid Glass still needs work to make it behave consistently across platforms.

On my iPhone, "Increase contrast" slightly reduces that scrolling underlapping of the Settings app's search field, and "Reduce transparency" gets rid of it altogether. But neither of these settings on my Macbook does.

Tahoe is by far the worst macos since Lion and Big Sur lol

Complete trashfire in the OS dept at apple, like its to the point that the new mac hardware isnt appealing because it doesnt let you use an OS released before it
seriously? I have no problems with it on my Mac mini m4

Is Music still a UX disaster? There needs to be serious shaming that this went out the door, much less is still around:
