Does anyone know the build number of the public beta or if it's beta 2?
Thanks
You bet they dont, as developer I’m very active in Feedback assistant and have dozens of bugs opened, some of them since High Sierra. Many of them quite frequents as the Quicklook jumping window with several screens.Wonder if any longstanding bugs have been fixed. I think I'll just wait til 12.7 or so.
And how do you change the icon to anything you like? I ask because I don’t think you can do it.
I wish they stuck to a bi-annual upgrade strategy. Why does apple release so many new operating systems? Aren’t these just feature updates to their existing OS? not really a whole new OS.
The installer becomes deleted if you shut down after some time and then power up. I see this now in launchpad.Anyone else have the macOS 12 installation file in launchpad after finishing the install, unable to delete it. 🤔
This normal?
Thanks mate, must be a bug.The installer becomes deleted if you shut down after some time and then power up. I see this now in launchpad.

Other image files can work as well. However since QuickTime is a default app, I believe you’ll have to temporarily disable system integrity protection in order to change it.Simple drag and drop simplicity of macOS. Just right click on app, select Get Info, drop a .icns file onto the icon shown in the Get Info pane. That’s it.
Strange especially when they state in release notes that BT was fixed in beta 2:Beta 1 had severe Bluetooth issues, so my trackpad disconnected frequently until at a certain point it didn't work at all, worse, a wired mouse wasn't working as well, so the Bluetooth issue affected wired mouses as well, this was widespread,, still not solved for 100%.
Slow Safari, crashes a lot, new Tab system really sucks big time.
My blocking ways to block adds don't seem to work at all.
Little snitch also doesn't seem to work reliable on safari.
beta 1, a certain process crashed continuously, I saw the notification about 20-30 times an hour.
Lots more.
That was before Catalina. It certainly doesn’t work for system apps anymore.Simple drag and drop simplicity of macOS. Just right click on app, select Get Info, drop a .icns file onto the icon shown in the Get Info pane. That’s it.
Doesn’t work. SIP or no SIP.Other image files can work as well. However since QuickTime is a default app, I believe you’ll have to temporarily disable system integrity protection in order to change it.

I don't have the BT issue anymore, I read a post from someone with issues on b2 here in this very thread.Strange especially when they state in release notes that BT was fixed in beta 2:
Resolved in macOS Monterey 12 beta 2
Bluetooth issues alone are enough to keep me off from the beta train 🙄
- Fixed an issue where input devices disconnected unexpectedly. (78421734)
Yes. Ignore the Monterey beta prompt. When the “other updates available…” link shows up under the Monterey cell, click that to get to the option to update your Big Sur beta.I'm on Big Sur 11.5 public beta and noticed that Software Update is pushing me Monterey PB. Is there some way to skip Monterey betas and stick with Big Sur betas only?View attachment 1800976
It's supposed to show that option as well when there is update for previous beta. Does for me. So, i can choose either one.I'm on Big Sur 11.5 public beta and noticed that Software Update is pushing me Monterey PB.
