Apple should really fix their "nearly unusable" Podcasts app.

Note: "Nearly unusable" is a rating from several professional review sites.
Does anyone still use that dumpster fire of an app? I switched to Pocketcast a few years ago. Overcast is also pretty popular.

Just hope it fixes the display arrangement once and for all lol, quite annoying every morning having to arrange my displays after a break.
That’s a feature! lol. I can relate. When I wake my Macbook up
from sleep , the apps have all congregated on display 1 , space 1, and I have to drag them back to the correct display and space every time.

Just updated to this 12.4 beta. Now my Keyboard Input Source language flags have disappeared and I just get the two letter abbreviation, like US for the United States, on the menu bar. I did not change anything. Any way to get the flags back?

Little Snitch does seem to panic the system. Might be a Thunderbolt 3 hub issue too, but I think it's isolated to LS. Had to temporarily uninstall LS and use LuLu. LuLu is a bit clunky and slow on the rule request and not nearly as refined, but it seems to kinda do the job for now.

I noticed this too. Feature or bug?

Little Snitch just put out an update for the 12.4 beta kernel panic crashes. Fingers crossed!

April 13, 2022

Little Snitch 5.4 nightly (6250)

This version attempts to work around a bug in macOS 12.4 beta 1 which can cause a kernel panic when browsing the web with certain non-WebKit browsers like Firefox or Chrome. It’s triggered when a network packet is denied in a situation where the connection was already closed.
Our workaround helps to prevent most but not all of these panics. For a comprehensive solution the underlying bug in macOS must be fixed by Apple. We are confident that this issue will be resolved in one of the next macOS 12.4 betas.
Note: The bug does not occur with Little Snitch 5.3.2, the current stable version, because it does not deny packets in this case. It also does not occur when browsing with Safari.

Although I appreciate the speed in which Little Snitch was updated in order to partly address the issue, sadly I am still getting kernel panic crashes with Little Snitch 5.4 nightly (6250). I am not sure exactly what is causing this, but with 5.4 nightly (6250) my computer (M1 MBP 16", 2021) seems to freeze/crash when trying to enable/install ‘Berkeley Packet Filter Monitoring’. And also - even with ‘Berkeley Packet Filter Monitoring’ disabled/uninstalled, my computer tends to crash when starting Transmission 3.0 (which has ~100 actively seeding torrents, if that makes any difference...?).

When using Little Snitch 5.3.2 everything seems to work (relatively) fine, including Transmission/seeding a lot of torrents. My computer has "only" crashed 3 times today (using 12.4 Beta // Little Snitch 5.3.2). In the last few days since installing 12.4 Beta my computer must have crashed at least 50 times though. I am waiting desperately for Apple to release 12.4.1. I am praying they will address these issues in their next beta. 12.4 Beta is hands down the worst OS I have ever used in my life. It was a mistake enrolling in the beta program on my main computer

Agree with everything you said, I am still getting crashes as well, unfortunately.

I couldn't care less about UC either. Not something I will use. But they need to kill a lot bugs. And they need to fix the iCloud syncing with Safari, which is totally broken across all devices and OSes.
Re your byeline the Macintosh SE came out in 1987 not 1985....you must have had a 512K. The Plus came out in 1986.

Looks like Apple has removed them. As a workaround I have derived what I needed as new layouts from Apple's originals in Ukelele, added flags to them, saved them and installed them to /Library/Keyboard Layouts. A reboot later I replaced the flagless system layouts by my own.
Here's the procedure and also a set of the four layouts I have created for download: MacOS 12.4: get the flags back in input sources

Thanks for removing flags, I am actually surprised to see the change I personally voted for (looks like there were millions of people like me)

But that is a great change with unfortunately horrible price for what I'm sure (really) pushed for it

I'm posting this here for posterity.

I had to get my logic board replaced (yeah, spilled a little coffee! LOL). After this process was done; it shipped back with Big Sur, I restored my Time Machine (Monterey) and the heat and high CPU dangling issue has not presented itself since.

How, I've performed all the typical tasks before, resetting the NVRAM/PRAM, etc. etc. None of those tactics worked, this did. I don't understand what else may have changed here, but I wanted others to at least know this much.

My condolences on the loss of coffee. I hope that it was a simple americano and not a complicated drink like a cappuccino with a fancy design in the foam.
