Should be the same beta 3 build from yesterday
  • iOS 17 beta 3 (21A5277j) - July 11, 2023
  • iPadOS 17 beta 3 (21A5277j) - July 11, 2023
  • macOS 14 beta 3 (23A5286i) - July 11, 2023
  • tvOS 17 beta 3 (21J5303h) = July 11, 2023
Hey are you able to help with my problem on iOS 17 PB in standby mode I lost the photo option when swiping left or right.

So I've encountered three issues, all related to either writing text or using iMessage. The first is when typing a word into a text to start a paragraph. Let's say my sentence is "How's the weather over there?" I'd type "How's" but the minute I space to the type "but, the first work autocorrects to lowercase "how's." It's crazy, it does it in iMessage, Messenger, and basically any text field. It's clearly an auto-correct issue. This brings me to autocorrect, it is NOT what they promised. It's a damn mess. It's miscorrecting all kinds of words, merging two words together, despite having put a space between them. It's just BAD.

Lastly, when typing to my wife in iMessage, if she sends me a picture and I tap on it to view it bigger, then exit back to respond to it, the text field is gone, like completely disappeared. I have to swipe up and force close the app to bring it back. I'm not sure anyone else has experienced these bugs, but I'd love to know if I'm not alone.

And thus starts my annual countdown to giving in to the impulse to put beta versions on all my devices despite logic saying wait. I wonder if can make it a whole week.
I’m struggling to resist already - especially as everyone is saying it works fine for banking apps like HSBC.

A couple of minor glitches since installation:
1. Home screen widgets not working properly (Health and Fitness) - going blank intermittently
2. APP connection doesn't sound clear when talking on iPhone.

I’m like that but with the official releases in the fall. Especially macOS. I think wait a few weeks, see if anything major or catastrophic happens etc…

But then come release day at 12:55pm I’m hitting refresh software update over and over.

I just installed the public betas on all of my devices and despite what anyone may spin, fortunately there are minimal new features (I do not think any of the new features matter much) and this is more of a stability and refinement cycle for Apple. I guess that focusing on the new features is sexier than saying this is a stability release.

Why wait, everything is working perfectly and its already faster than ios 16, and for the first time on an apple device the auto correct works. The auto correct alone is worth the update.
Hearing that it is faster than 16 is encouraging news, but the reason to wait is because there's no guarantee everything will continue to work great on the next beta release. Heck, just this week/last week(?) they had to pull that emergency patch. And that was on a "year old" OS version. Who knows what'll be hosed in the next beta.

Amazing how many report what you are reporting, and then you also have the above. How can two experiences be polar opposites? 😄 Being the ever pessimist with Apple these last few years, it doesn't surprise me.

Works quite well on my iPad Pro, but my iPhone 14 Pro Max has lost all of its wallpaper settings in the various focus modes, most of the time it is just black where there should be wallpaper, and the time/wifi/cell/battery area in the top right corner just disappears from time to time. I also have no way to customize any wallpapers. Those switches are all missing.Hopefully it gets fixed in the next update.
I had the same issue after iPhone became pretty unresponsive while downloading a movie via AppleTV app.

After a hard reset I was able to switch to one of the planet backgrounds. I'm using Venus and that seems to be working. I'll try Earth next then Uranus but don't think I'll like it.

It does seem pretty smooth on my 11 Pro.

I'm a little tempted to not upgrade. I think the 15 would need some killer feature + USB-C to make it happen. I like Lightning but if it's going to happen, let's get on with C already.

Anyone know what the magnetic charging stand is they show in all the standby promos?
Search in the beta 1 bug fixes thread. If I recall it was posted there. (Maybe belkin???)
Hi does anyone know how you can bring the photo option back into stand by mode as I some how deleted it and can’t find a way to add it again. I have the clocks just not the pic option.
You should be able to add the photo widget back. I have gone back to 16.6 so cant say for 100%. Sorry

Downloaded for my iPad Pro 12.9 and really don’t see much different, except adding the health app. Unless I am missing something, iOS 17 is not than an exciting of an upgrade at least for the iPad.

where sideloading

The EU will check the submissions of these companies and designate the gatekeepers for specific platform services by September 6th. The gatekeepers will then have six months to comply with the DMA rules.

Considering the EU’s deadline, I’d guess that Apple wouldn’t have side-loading support out of the gate in iOS 17. We’re looking at a March 6th deadline for complying with the DMA. That’s probably when Apple will roll out the iOS 17 updates to make sideloading possible in Europe. The feature won’t be available worldwide, however.

Had the same thing. Fitness is blank after unlock and so is the contacts widget, used to see location now it’s blank

I wholly expect Apple will drag its feet until the last possible milisecond to relinquish even the tiniest sliver of control to its users. For Gods' sake, you can't even properly turn off WiFi/BT through the control centre on current iOS - not that I expect this change to ever get reversed.

I also wholly expect Apple to figure out a loophole to get out of allowing freedom to iDevice users. I don't think they'll just pull out of Europe entirely (for some bizarre reason, Apple market share has been growing in Europe), but they definitely won't make it even remotely easy for the users.
