Apple Releases Fourth Public Beta of iOS 12

I, for one, am willing to deal with the new bugs in hopes that this PB4 is more stable. I have had my phone completely lock up twice now and had to do a hard reset on it. Not loving PB3.

Yes. There is no difference between these two builds. Dev comes out a day earlier, soon to be several hours earlier than public. But they are the exact same builds. They just don't start the public version until later in the beta process so it gets numbered differently.

Checked my cell data usage. My iPhone X (which has been on the latest Dev betas since WWDC) has used 1.6 GB of cellular data for "Time & Location" services. Wow!
 
Am I the only one that finds lack of color contrast in Maps a design disaster, making the app unusable.
 
Bluetooth icon is still missing on PB4. My Bluetooth keeps playing the same tracks in the same order any time I disconnect and reconnect to a Bluetooth device. I understand that this is a beta, but it seems like iOS 12 is a mess. It's fast, but quite a few issues.

It doesn't sound like you understand that it's beta software.

I started an update to PB4, all appeared well.

Then, when in the (what I thought to be) final boot, it reached a white screen saying "Swipe up to upgrade", I swiped up - it asked for my code. I entered my code - and it rebooted.

Stuck in same situation since...

Tried reboot, reset, anything but formatting the phone

Anyone else had it? Ant ideas?
 
Attaching photos in Messages is still overly complicated. I’m only half-kidding about starting a Change.org petition since Apple doesn’t seem to listen to feedback otherwise. Who’s interested?

Why do they change things that are perfectly fine?!

Does anyone in the Beta know if the new shortcuts app works with Spotify and does it work in CarPlay?
 
Take care if you update your iPhone X and use Smart Invert:
I placed the phone on the charger and the prompt for the unlock code does not allow you to enter anything, nor does an OK prompt appear.

Amended:
Ah! Just because the OK doesn't appear doesn't mean it's not there.

I use the phone in smart invert mode. Shutting down and trying again in non-smart invert:

That's the bug, in smart invert you can enter the code and press ok you just can't see it! Just press in the expected place where OK is normally and will let you in with the correct code.

I apologize if I’m behind the times, but has anyone had the “Resource Unavailable” error when trying to play some songs via Apple Music that aren’t downloaded?
I love the beta (joined today) and this is the only major bug I could find.
 
On my iPhone 6 Plus, the snappiness that I experienced with PB1 seems to be going away progressively with every PB release. Is anybody experiencing this?

I use ClearOS with the OpenVPN component. I see no way to turn the only certificate connections. As I already have multiple accounts with login requiered.

Do you know if it’s possible to have a server with mixed kind of access?
