Same here, I think it will take quite awhile before they become completely obsolete. Although the prices of flashdrives is pretty cheap, but not yet enough for us to buy them to send to our family members.

Sorry people but physical media is dying or dead.
I've been hearing that since '99 yet CD's still out perform legal music downloads/streams. That is predicted to change though in the 1-3 years (depending on who you talk to). Physical media (which technically includes HDDs and flash media) and downloads/streams can coexist. The success of one is not dependent on the failure of the other.

iDVD is a disaster!

Just last week I had to burn 30 videos, each 2 minutes long into categories. When I created a folder in iDVD with 2 more folders inside I lost the "highlight" effect.

I mean, when navigating I was not able to tell what folder or movie I was on! after spending many hours and DVDs burned I realized it was a bug in the software.

I tried to open the project in DVD Studio Pro and it was not possible anymore! DVD Studio Pro no longer recognizes iDVD projects as it used to.

I had to start from scratch creating every new folder, icons, names, everything!

I'm glad that the crazy ones with their wild proclamations are sat alone. Just mentally scanning through my friends and family (including some very tech savvy people) and not one rely on digital downloads yet. The rich, the poor, the educated, the silly, the young, the old... none of them. Bluray quality hasn't been matched by iTunes. DVD prices haven't been matched by iTunes. Nearly every room in my house has a DVD player, how many (overpriced) Apple TV's do I own? None! Even though I have a 300gb iTunes video library it's still not a patch on the amount of discs I own.

iDVD is a great piece of software too. I used it throughout university to showcase my work, and in group projects my team would always have the most slick and well-made presentations thanks to it ;).
