I have yet to wait all day for my iPhone 5 to do stuff. You're exaggerating, and all I hear is you complaining about it. If you have that many issues, there are other phone makers out there.

So both me and the poster above are exaggerating huh? Just because you don't notice the performance hit doesn't mean everyone else can't . My iPhone 6 has had a huge slowdown since iOS 8. Lately it cant even keep more than 4 apps in memory .I even have YouTube videos showcasing the slowdown, so there

Pretty simple really. The latest version of iOS slows down the phone. Force the user by whatever means necessary to upgrade to that version. The latest version will frustrate him to the point he will throw the device at the wall and get a new iPhone

Forcing my iPhone to run a version it cant handle and not giving me a means to downgrade is the equivalent of putting a gun to my head and forcing me to upgrade. I have better things to do all day then wait for my iPhone to do the things I want it to do
It's simpler than that--you having some issues with your device and/or not liking something about some updates doesn't mean that Apple is forcing people to update to new phones. We've certainly been over it many times, and to this day it's still not how that works.
