I'm concerned in updating because I saw an article saying that 10.3.2 will remove support for 32 bit apps. Are 32 bit apps working in 10.3.1?
I may be forced to upgrade to an iPhone 7 now just so I can remain on 10.3.0. I have some 32 bit apps that are a must because I live in a remote area without internet and my apps allow me to download Apple updates onto the phone first and then transfer them to the computer via iTunes.
Incorrect info in the article. iOS 10.3.2 does not end support for 32 bit apps. Seems iOS 10.3.1 fixes a security flaw in the wifi chip.

Don't count on it. These are minor bug fixes, only 25MB, hardly enough to fix a battery issue if there was one. Its also possible you just had a bad install. I have had zero issues with battery life on 10.3 on my 7Plus or Air 2.
I saw someone said 68mb for iPhone 6. But it could only take a single line of code to cause/fix a battery issue. However I agree with you in that there is no inherent battery issue with 10.3. Most likely that user has an app or something else causing the problem.
[Edit] iPhone 6 is 27.5mb after-all.

I'll update in a little.

Maybe I'm hallucinating but my iPhone 7 seemed faster after the 10.3 update!
I don't think you're hallucinating, my devices do seem quicker. It could be due to the new file system, it's supposed to be optimized for flash/ssd storage.

Absolutely not. Wanting better battery life does not count as new feature. Your accusations are fantastic. 100 Salutes.

I only said battery life on 10.3 was pathetic.

You're the first I've heard who has had issues with 10.3 battery. I swear every release someone thinks their battery is screwed up by the release. Maybe it's a psychological thing like the "safari is snappier" kinda thing.

Is this update available over-the-air for older devices such as the iPhone 5? The 10.3 required updating via iTunes. Is this the case for 10.3.1?

Just one week after releasing iOS 10.3, a major update that included Apple Filesystem and Find My AirPods, Apple has released iOS 10.3.1, which appears to be a minor update to address bugs and other issues that have popped up since the release of iOS 10.3.

iOS 10.3.1 is available as a free over-the-air update for all iOS 10 users, and it can also be downloaded via iTunes.

According to Apple's release notes, iOS 10.3.1 includes bug fixes and improves the security of your iPhone or iPad, and a security document suggests it fixes a Wi-Fi-related vulnerability. The release notes do not go into more detail about what bug fixes might be bundled into this release, so we'll update this post if and when we learn more about the content of the iOS 10.3.1 update.

The latest update almost constantly disconnects my WiFi and asks for the password.A real nuisance.Hope this update fixes it...

I hate when updates don't have specifics on what they are fixing/changing. The worst offender is Facebook who never mentions anything beyond "we push updates periodically to fix things" ....ya, no duh, Facebook.

Combination of developer laziness and niche demand. But I echo your complaints, some of us want to know exactly what a developer has changed in the update.

Yes drives me up the wall as well

They address one critica's WiFi bug. What would you have Apple do, give a full technical overview?

Strange issue with my SE, it went to install the update, the phone shut off but didn't come back on. I had to manually hold the power button for it to come on and now it has the progress bar installing the update.

Same here on my 7+. Everything seems to be working fine though.

I installed on my iPhone 7+ using iTunes. Figured after a lengthy beta period with so many delta updates, a full image update would be a good thing.

No problems so far!

I see they haven't fixed the broken upgrade progress bar. It slowly moved from 0 to around 30% on my iPhone 7 Plus and then the iPhone rebooted. It's done that for all the updates since installing iOS 10.

Ah good, glad to see Apple on normal form, not testing iOS releases properly, must be hard to do so with all these betas and billions and billions in cash plus endless resources for a platform entirely controlled and made by them..

I don't recall an iOS release that's been smooth and normal in the last three years?

Take a break for a change.

no, we rather have a Samsung S7 or S8 with software installed, 6 months old.

Security and optimalization, right?

They could give us the full technical info to carry out the attack. :p

Or, they could publish the full code and the patch details so that we can circumvent the patch and still perform the attack. :D

/sarcasm

I know it would be some work but an iOS update install time calculator would be a cool feature to have.

I had the same with my 6+, except I had to go back into setting and press install again, almost like the phone has crashed whilst installing

Boy this is fast. Sound like an emergency fix based on the time... With what came out in 10.3 and the new stuff from Wikileaks, it could be closing a security hole our govt was using or a bug in the new file system perhaps?

Well, the released 10.3.2 betas before saying anything about 10.3.1. So I'd say it was planned, and not an emergency rush.

Most likely they already knew that they needed to fix the wifi bug, but decided to do it later and sent 10.3 out into the wild without the bug being fixed.
