I might wait a couple of days just to make sure it doesn't brick devices. I have been burned by updating immediately upon release...with iOS 9.3.2 on my 9.7" iPad Pro just about 1 year ago.

Another update that will keep iOS secure, and avoid disasters like the Windowscalypse that is currently unfolding (and make no misteke, billions of unpatched Android devices will be next).

I've thought about the Android angle of things too, if there was a worm that spread from phone to phone on Android's old insecure software base - it'd be a nightmare. They've been lucky it hasn't happened on a large scale so far. (would give Google the excuse to finally assert control of their OS and its update process though)

Cool, been waiting for this. I didn't bother with 10.3.1, because it came out a day or something after 10.3.

10.3.1 was the first time I've ever not done an update, and boy oh boy does iOS pester you after awhile.

Is the build number different?Should i download the profile again after installation?

thank you
It's "technically" the same but there is probably small underlying code changes such as the removal of the feedback app. Reinstalling the profile is probably pointless as there most likely won't be another iOS 10 beta.

Not installed yet but I wouldn't be too paranoid. These are heavily tested before release. The brick update (which if memory serves only affected a small percentage of people running a certain model of a recently released iPad) was very much a one off.

Remember that there are more than half a billion iOS 10 devices out there. That's double the number of computers running Windows 10, if my shoddy memory or paint-by-numbers mathematics is anywhere on point. This was the company that pushed an update to silently change an entire filesystem on all of these devices; simply a monumental achievement. It would be so so easy to rush a patch and screw up a load of phones.

Apple are terrified and paranoid of the media fallout from failure, especially with iOS updates. They're more scared about it than you are, so they wouldn't have released it if they weren't sure!
That's a great point and the best response to this I've seen. Kudos

iOS updates haven't slowed down phones for a long time. Absolutely true from the 3G-4S days, not so much now.

Once bitten, twice shy. I'm with the newb, I'll hold off on updating my 2 year+ old devices until others have updated same devices and not had issues. I'm not saying Apple purposely slows down old devices with updates, but it's only logical that software with more complex features will slow down phones/ipads/ipods/laptops with older processors. I've had all of those devices over the years, and ALL of them eventually became unpleasant to use due to updates.

Yeah that's right next profile should be for ios 11.Downloading now.Beta 5 for me on the 7 had some battery draining and scroll down for search sometimes didn't work.Do you think this will fix all problems?

thank you

I couldn't really tell you. If it was related to the feedback app or some beta coding, then it may fix that. It probably doesn't hurt though.
