Massive battery drain after updating from .2 to .3 on iP7+. Phone was recently swapped out at the Genius Bar, so new phone. Have done hard resets, cleared background apps etc. What next?

My 7+ has lost more than 40% of battery in four hours. ONly activity is a few emails and couple short calls. Phone was purchased last year at launch.

I hope you guys test it for a few days and let us know if it's worth updating for the 5s.

I've been having lotsa lag when I rapid switch between apps, rotate the phone or type in dialog boxes or bars...(I'm on 10.3.2)
Battery life has been dreadful as well...
It's no worse than before as far as I have noticed, saying that I've bit noticed any huge improvements either.
I would go for it if I were you :)

Anyone know if this fixes the issue introduced with 10.3.1 that makes some external audio devices (like DACs) not work correctly?

Doesn't seem to be completely solved for me. Deleting history works and everything.

However, on my website I changed the favicon long ago to a new version. Whenever I save the site to favorites, the old icon shows up still. In the iOS 11 betas, the new icon shows up. Seems to be a persistent problem that not all caches are clearing in 10.3.3.

I did not resolve my issue of unable to delete my Website Data despite being 0 bytes. Any suggestions?? Thanks!

My 7+ battery life is perfect after this update.
Had over 4.3 hours usage and 21 hours standby since last full charge (been making videos, etc.), and have 43% remaining.
P.S. I have the screen on full brightness at all times.

What wifi chip address bar spoofing issues returned on 10.3.3? Maybe Apple has the wrong head of development. This is an issue that is far worse on android where almost 50% aren't even randomized. Where is the head of development for android?
The release notes say both the addressbar spoofing and Wifi-chip vulnerabilities were taken care of in 10.3.1 and in 10.3.3 so I figured those might have returned in between (i.e. 10.3.2) but that's just a guess.
I think that Craig is the right guy as SVP of SW, but nonetheless sometimes strange things happen. Communication doesn't seem that department's greatest virtue.
Battery related issues of various kinds refrain me from blindly updating - I have been pleading for more process analysis tools (Apple Unix provides so much more info than they allow us to see...)
I don't have relevant experience with android, sorry...

I guess I was attempting to say there may have been far more going on than meets the eye in release notes, but I didn't get that point across successfully. There seems to be two layers, chip f/w and iOS software. That it is finally patched (?) is the important point.

edit: It may have taken apple a while due to ongoing updates and testing of some of the security patches as listed in the release notes.

Updated 7+ over the air and connected iPP to iMac to update to 10.3.3. Both are fine. Haven't noticed much of a battery drain on the 7+ (but then I tend to shut everything I am not using off on my iDevices.)

Happy for WiFi fix. I kept seeing Security Recommendation for my network on the iPad and it was driving me crazy. Nice to know all is good again.

How is 10.3.3 as a daily driver? If they haven’t fixed all the kinks I am sticking with ios 11.
LOL that was funny.

I think I'm going to keep my 6s Plus and SE on iOS 10.3.2 for now. Judging off of previous posts, it's not worth updating at this point.

What previous posts? Have you read through any of the beta threads? The consensus is that 10.3.3 is better than 10.3.2 for most folks and has a ton of security and under the hood fixes. Never had any issues with any of the betas. Certainly not worse than 10.3.1/10.3.2.

Might just wait for IOS 11 personally
Not sure why anyone would wait to install a better, more secure, FREE update but certainly you have that choice. Ver 11 will take another year before its stable and secure and fluid. Seems to happen that way for every iOS version.

Its a different CVE.
CVE-2017-6975: Gal Beniamini of Google Project Zero (iOS 10.3.1)
CVE-2017-9417: Nitay Artenstein of Exodus Intelligence (iOS 10.3.3)

"reset all settings". That is the easiest solution to try as it leaves your apps and data intact. Just need to run back through your settings to get like you want and add back any wifi networks. But otherwise pretty painless and is known to solve issues with stability and battery. Don't do the erase all! That's an entirely different deal.

So many days later, this update is still smooth and very responsive. Even on my iPad mini2 which was somewhat of a dog with 10.3.2. Thumbs up!!

But might be same returning issue, obscured in this quotation with just label/contributor...

They are similar but different vulnerabilities. CVE-2017-6975 was discovered by Project Zero and reported in April. CVE-2017-9417 ("Broadpwn") was discovered by Nitay Artenstein and will be presented at Blackhat next week. It works on OS versions that have been patched for CVE-2017-6975.

Well - they're using it wrong too

THIS!!

"soft" bricked, "temporarily" bricked don't really convey the meaning. What is it? A nerf brick? :) The phone was temporarily eff'd up, but it wan't bricked.

From Wikipedia: "In the common usage of the term, "bricking" suggests that the damage is so serious as to have rendered the device permanently unusable"

But I'll stop now because it's pretty much spitting in the ocean......
Ok. You're right. Some stranger you don't know on the internet misused a term and you totally dropped the bomb on them. Happy?

After several days with 10.3.3 on two iPads and an iPhone 7, no battery issues to report. Unscientifically, battery life on the iPads may have slightly improved.

Can someone confirm that 6s plus is slow with this version ? I have a 6s plus and it's ****ing slow , i made a dfu restore and nothing happens .
