5s and mini 2 updated fine with no issues :) happy with the speed so far  :D

It seems like people with older apple devices were spared of this disaster. My mom's iPad air 2 updated just fine and my dad's iPhone 6 was ok as well.

I am running IOS 10.0.1 and I don't have those message features nor even the raise phone to activate. What the hell!!!

Raise to Wake only works with iPhone 6S devices and above. Not sure if the new message features are restricted to just those devices as well.

On 94Mb/s WiFi a 6s has taken 27 minutes to update to Home Screen and used 70% of the battery. An iPad-4 has been at it 45 minutes and no end in sight.

Smooth update on both iP6 and iPad Mini 4 ... well, except now I have to use that awful-looking Music app :(
But at least some of the craptastical default Apple apps can now be removed. Yay!

iPhone 6S 64GB here. Less than 1 year old no problems. Downloaded update on iPhone while plugged in, started updated, after it "finished" it said I needed to plug into iTunes. So yeah.... how can Apple not test this given how widespread it is?

why are notifications big and bright and ugly not instead of dark and unobtrusive at the top of the screen like they were...yuck... weren't we trying to get away from that

NOTES
What's happening?
The OTA update version might be corrupt. The update will download completely, verify prior to install, go into the Apple update screen, then crash into the "Plug into iTunes" screen. The update bar went as far as about 75% - 80%.

Who is affected?
So far, only iPad Pros, iPhone 6S / S+ and iPhone SEs have complained of corrupt installs. All of those who have complained used OTA updates, so it may affect more.

I have a 6 Plus and the update failed the same way. Add me to the list.

I don't like that if you send an image via the #images iMessage app, every post comes with a line below of where the image was sourced. That doesn't look neat.

on iphone i can make update to ios10 but not with itunes. i need manually ipsw download links. cans someone help, wont wait so long.

Redmond Pie usually have IPSW files available from launch, you should check there.

Have iPhone 6. I was able to successfully use Over The Air (OTA) update.

I am trying to decide if I like the new Messages App. I agree that those animations will be a big hit with teens and like minded individuals. Switching from the stickers back to being able to type is not the most intuitive.

I do like the updated Notification Center. I will like it better when my preferred News feeds are available. I like the updated Contacts interface and being able to see the avitar.

I like being able to share individual notes with others. I have not implemented it with another person yet.

I'm going to wait a few days before upgrading and let everyone else find all the bugs and problems with it as per all the previous iOS upgrades. They'll probably rush out 10.0.1 by the weekend.
This is 10.0.1!

Whew! Successfully restored my 'brick-like' iphone 6s+!

Restoring via itunes worked.

FYI: didn't have any problems with the OTA ios10 update on the ipad Air2.

so glad to hear this - I am restoring my phone via iTunes now after the iOS 10*brick-like* update

Hi all,
firstly please apologize my bad english.

Had some problems with update of iOS10. Had my iPhone 6S at charger. Batterie mode and 50%.
Startet the download. Short downloading time today. By about 95% the phone was more than hot. So finally had a black screen and to connect via iTunes. Unfortunately I didn't made a backup. Guessed I'll lose my vacation photos. After downloading iOS10 via iTunes (about 5 times) I could finally refresh the software without restore (puh..). Now it works.
So my tipp: If you need to connect to iTunes. Wait and do not restore. Guess that way will work.
