Hi Pat, thanks for asking!
I haven't upgraded to iOS 11, I'm still on 10.3.3 but I've toggled off background app refresh and toggled Handoff to off and its 'bearable', still going though the divorce, trying to 'patch things up'...I don't want us to split up!!!
Same here with 10.3.3

They've reduced the delay between pushing the home button and leaving an app. When I upgraded to iOS 11 there was suddenly a 3/4-second delay before the exit animation started.

There's still a delay, but it's much more like iOS 10 now.

Question: Can you easily switch bluetooth and WIFI connections in the control panel or do you still have to do multiple clicks through the general settings app?

I have to switch networks constantly and, when moving around, I accident disconnect and connect to the wrong bluetooth devices. The multiple clicks gets to be really annoying and can't believe Apple hasn't simplifed the process already.

Guys, for those of us with iOS Beta Software Profiles installed, should we delete them? I'm not seeing the update for iOS 11.0.1

Thanks

It's just a security update! No bug fix!

New & Remaining Issues
  • When using the iOS Emoji keyboard in some apps (such as Twitter), the text entry field and submission buttons are obscured. You can enter emoji (but they are not visible), and then you must switch back to a standard keyboard to verify your text and to reveal the submit button.
  • 3D touch stutter in iphone 7 plus still exists (same for 6s)
  • Burst Photo saving as JPEG instead of HEIF in iphone 7 plus still exist

It is still multiple clicks and its per design; Don't think it is going to be changed; You could 3D touch settings icons to quickly switch off wifi/bluetooth - if you are on 6s or above..

This one is really quick and it was really needed. My iPhone 7 Plus was showing some lags, even with stock apps like Mail. I really hope they have done something about it. I have DFU my iPhone and set it up as new without using back ups and it was still laggy. Battery life is always an issue when you update your iOS due to the reindexing of Spotlight so give it a bit of time.

Did anyone notice that it helps the battery issue? Somehow my phone was losing 20% within an hour without having any apps open and I even reset the phone. Hope this update helps

Battery issues take a while to observe. My 11.0 was fine with battery after the first couple of days.

Also, the 20% drain you were talking about, if that was going on within the first hours/day of installing 11.0, I would expect that. A major new OS upgrade often has to re-index everything for spotlight, plus 11.0 had much more comprehensive deep learning on your photos, etc, so there'd be a lot of CPU intensive work going on in the background.

Never judge a new OS's battery potential within the first day or two. Let it bake a while first.
