And you lose your phone or it breaks, then what? All those photos are gone.
Deservedly so. If they were important, they'd be backed up. iCloud Photo Library isn't a backup.

I also like it because when I get a new iPhone, I always set up as new. I turn on iCloud photos, and all my photos are there. No need to set up from back up
I love seeing people who come into the one shop I work at “you can’t save my photos?, this is the only spot I had them!” And their photos are gone forever.
Don’t need message in the cloud or photo library when I have 256gb tbh don’t see the point
Yes. I tested it 10 minutes ago. All of the bugs are gone. For all previous releases and for all devices that use iOS. All the bugs. Gone. Completely bug-less. No bugs. Thank goodness. No more bugs.ANybody knows if it fixes all the bugs of 11.3.1 on iPhone 7 ?
I think the messages in the cloud will be helpful. I like to restore my device with a fresh copy of iOS its nice to actually have message history and to have it sync across devices. Its not about saving storage for me.Don’t need message in the cloud or photo library when I have 256gb tbh don’t see the point

then don't enable it. it is not forcing you to use messages in the cloud.hm.. phone storage got bigger (entry level 32gb on the SE) but the free icloud storage is still stuck at 5GB, and we're suppoused to upload the iMessages as well??
Yeah... I also said in the same post that when I get a new iPhone, I always set up as new. I get my new iPhone (or iPad), log into my iCloud account, and all of my photos are there.Use iTunes and backup the iphone (or use iCloud backup) which restores all photos and messages etc.
Changes made on one device apply to all. The server keeps everything in sync and your devices all present the same view.
That's a feature. It's called the TimeToGetMoreMoneyFromGuillaumeBsWife function. It's a common feature across iOS devices, apparently with some cutting-edge customizations to make it unique to each user but still lead to the same outcome. It can manifest in many different ways but all of them are designed to point one to an Apple store.
