Still doesn’t solve the yellow/green tint issue of iPhone 12 Pro Max. I thought the Apple logo whites looked whiter just as I updated to 14.2.1. But the screen still appears warmer afterwards. Hope there will be a 14.2.2 soon to fix the tint.

It's basically behind how group messaging and messaging with media (photos, videos, etc.) works outside of iMessage and basically agnostic of which particular device someone has.forums.macrumors.com
yea..but, people solved this issue long ago by opting for IM apps like Whatsapp, Facebook messenger, Telegram, and Signal. Those let you do a lot more than share text and pictures. I think messaging people to their phone numbers is a very US thing.
All that exists everywhere basically. It's mostly down to what someone chooses to use and what those that they message with use. Whatever works better for them, whatever that might be.
Nope, it doesn’t. Wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest if we have to wait ‘til iOS 15 for that.
I just finished installing the update iOS 14.2.1 and I am still having an issue with my iPhone 12 Max Pro. When I am not actively using my phone there are no sounds and no banner notifications for incoming texts or new email. However, when I am using my phone, and the screen is active, I do receive both sounds and banners indicating new incoming texts or emails. A second issue is my Apple Watch which worked great with my old iPhone XS Pro. Now once I’ve read my messages on my iPhone 12 Max Pro my Apple Watch continues to indicate I have unread messages. I have already unpaired and re-paired the watch.
Apple today released iOS 14.2.1, a bug fix update that comes two weeks after the launch of iOS 14.2 and is available for Apple's new iPhone 12 models.
The iOS 14.2.1 update can be downloaded for free and it is available on all eligible devices over-the-air in the Settings app. To access the new software, go to Settings > General > Software Update.
According to Apple's release notes, iOS 14.2.1 addresses several serious bugs that were found in the new iPhone 12 devices. It fixes a bug that caused some MMS text messages not to be received in both single person and group chats, and it fixes a bug that caused the Lock Screen of the iPhone 12 mini to become unresponsive.
It also includes a fix for Made for iPhone hearing devices that were experiencing sound quality issues. Apple's release notes are below.There have been multiple complaints about all of these issues. For the iPhone 12 mini, users were seeing problems when swiping up from the bottom of the Lock Screen or when pressing the flashlight or camera buttons.
The missing text messages primarily affected iPhone users who were in group chats with Android users, with the bug causing some Android text messages to fail to show up in the chat.
Apple did not acknowledge these problems, but there was a support document on the third issue, which was causing some people with Made for iPhone hearing aids and devices to experience unexpected noises like loud static or intermittent audio.
Apple is also testing iOS 14.3, and has seeded two betas of that update to developers so far. iOS 14.3 brings ProRAW functionality to the new iPhones and it also will introduce the Fitness+ service.

Are you referring to sounds on your watch or phone? I thought that if your phone is locked you can only get notifications on you watch. This is a feature request that I have submitted to Apple to be able to get notification sounds on your watch and phone. I find it very annoying that the only choice are one or the other and not both. Sorry if I misunderstood your comments.
Same here. 2 of us on 14.2.1 in a group chat with an android user are having issues with Texts coming in
Still have this bug not only on the lockscreen , but even if people send me messages in blue or green bubbles I don’t have any notification , sound , vibration I need to open message if there a new message
I also updated to 14.2.1 and still having issues with messages coming threw but not getting notifications for them. Not every message it’s intermittent am I the only one that still has issues too after the update. So annoying
