Apple Releases iOS 14.2.1 With Fix for Text Message Bug and iPhone 12 Mini Lock Screen Issues

My download speeds on 5G Auto and 5G have improved a great deal on Verizon with the iPhone 12 Pro Max with the modem update that came with the iOS update.

Does anyone else notice the improvement in download speeds?

Does this fix the missing notification on texts? It’s so annoying that I need to check messages once in a while to see if I’ve got new messages.

Don’t hold your breath. The keyboard delay happens on all devices. I’ve asked almost everyone I know who’s on iOS 14 and they ALL have the keyboard lag in messages.

Apples own support page is around 10k as well who hit that “I have this question too “ button. Unreal how it’s still an issue.

Any other 12 Pro users noticing their lock sound is clipped every time?

EVERY TIME on my 12. I thought they changed the sound only to realize its just the second half of the "click" sound playing. SO MANY STUPID SILLY BUGs!

Exactly! My wife has been plagued with the but on her iPhone 8 when talking in a group text that has an Android user. I texted her with the good news saying there's a fix out....only to miss the fact that it's just for the 12.

That doesn't fix a yellow screen, that just makes an even more yellow screen slightly less yellow under specific circumstances.

This is what I'm hoping for. I've updated my 12 Pro Max so hoping this is fixed.

Some days it doesn't happen much and some days it's prominent.

I’m not missing group text messages anymore.

Yep I still miss the notifications within the first 10 minutes after downloading and installing.

The notifications or the messages. My issue was that I wasn’t getting the message at all in group chats and now that is fixed for me.

I hope this latest update will resolve the all new iPhone 12 models with Cochlear implant software. Before that, it doesn't work and won't do anything. Will see how it goes.

Unable to send MMS? This was never a broad issue. It was only missing some messages in group chats. This one may be worth contacting your carrier?

Because Apple only works on bugs based on the number of complaints. Want more bugs fixed, then you should complain publicly more.

Ive been having this problem and I thought it was my iPhone X but I'm still experiencing this with my new iPhone 12 mini, so its clearly an iOS 14 issue.

I did reach out to my carrier. They took me through the normal resets and nothing worked. I can send regular SMS but can't send MMS. My groups chats are being missed as well.
