This is a good release with issues I had so far. Everything very smooth on my Xs. Moving forward, I think this might be the time I update yearly versions.

medium size photos widget seems broken with this update. small and large one is still fine.

Any fixes for Pegasus?

+1 on this. Seeing that Pegasus affects 14.6 (I'm not sure about lower; you can't roll back to less than 14.6 right now anyway), that effectively leaves every iOS device with 14.6 vulnerable to Pegasus.

Is there anything in the changelog that references the vulnerability that was exploited? If not, there will definitely be a 14.7.x or 14.8.

Updated my IP11, S6 AW, ATV 4K Gen2. Clean installs. No MBA M1 or iPad (mini 4) update showing available (not unexpected).

Only bug I have been encountering is on ATV. Switching from app to app (such as Pluto to AM to Spectrum) would stop audio. requiring either backing out to the Home Screen or getting the bar remote and hitting resync to get audio back (using a Sony TV, Sony bar with arc). I haven't been able to replicate after update but the issue has been ultra sporadic. It may be gone, may still be in TVOS, may not have been TVOS at all, may have been an app, maybe the Sony bar or Sony TV/arc related. That many moving parts involves serious patience to replicate and troubleshoot the bug).

I wonder if the MagSafe matters pack will work with ios15 as mine arrives tomorrow and I’m already on 15

Hmmm, don't know that MagSafe device but my general experience is if the app or device has been on the market long enough(assuming it isn't an EOL product), your chances for interop are very good. OTOH something that was introduced recently, that interop can be just a bit more iffy.

Apple today released iOS 14.7, marking the seventh major update to the iOS operating system that came out in September 2020. iOS 14.7 comes two months after the launch of iOS 14.6, a major update that added Apple Card Family Support, Podcast Subscriptions, and more.

The iOS 14.7 update can be downloaded for free and the software is available on all eligible devices over-the-air in the Settings app. To access the new software, go to Settings > General > Software Update.

According to Apple's release notes, iOS 14.7 adds support for the recently introduced MagSafe Battery Pack, which is compatible with the iPhone 12, 12 mini, 12 Pro, and 12 Pro Max.

The update also introduces an Apple Card Family feature for combining credit limits, plus it introduces new features for the HomePod and the Weather app. Apple's full release notes are below.iOS 14.7 may be the last update to the iOS 14 update as Apple transitions work to iOS 15, which was introduced at WWDC. iOS 15 is set to be released this fall.

Update: An earlier version of this article said that Apple had released both iOS 14.7 and iPadOS 14.7. It does not appear that Apple has released an iPadOS 14.7 update for iPads, which is unusual as these updates have never previously been separated.

- Dolby Atmos and ‌Apple Music‌ lossless audio playback may unexpectedly stop
This is the main fix I've been waiting for.....anyone confirm it yet? Would only get 10-15 seconds of music when away from Wi-Fi. Even though the music had been downloaded and showed as having been downloaded.

Can we use our HomePods yet?
Waiting for the verdict on that! Mine are still unplugged....won't update until others braver than thou have confirmed the fix and no heating/bricking. Good luck to those intrepid souls....

"Dolby Atmos and ‌‌Apple Music‌‌ lossless audio playback may unexpectedly stop"

This bug still exists for me. All of that music stops at the 15-second mark.
Can you outline your settings? Both Dolby / Lossless on? Using Cellular? Btooth etc? Just wondering/fishing. This is very disappointing if the '15sec' issue hasn't been fixed.

iOS 14.7 FCS (18G69)

What does FCS stand for?

The build team is using the original NeXT RC [Release Candidate], FCS [Final Candidate Seed] and other terminology instead of traditional Golden Master [GM] that Apple used. Candidates for general release makes more sense. It always did for us at NeXT. Someone must have convinced Craig it was time to go back to that nomenclature.

I miss those days when "General" was the 2nd or 3rd item in settings. Now it's so low down, it doesn't even show on the opening screen in the Settings app.
What? It’s literally one selection below the visible area on my iPhone 7 (not nearly as big as the X series screens).
