iOS 16.2 on iPhone 13 mini using updates for sports scores …

Pretty nice implementation even without dynamic island.

Two old school juggernaut teams of the 80’s & 90’s and my team The Lakers lost unfortunately. Kinda makes me wonder if Magic and Bird give each other a call just to reminisce hehe.

Hello everyone.

I´ve just realized that Apple also released IOS 15.7.2 yesterday.

I havent been able to upgrade to the new home app architecture yet because two family members in my home are still using Iphone 7 (and they control accessories, use personal requests and so on).

I was wondering... after the upgrade to 15.7.2 they will be able to see/join a home with the new architecture? (probably not, but...).

The remaining devices in my house are already updated to 16.2/13.1

Thank you in advance.

Some app was deleted from my home screen to make room for Freeform, and I can't for the life of me remember what that app might be. Any ideas?
It seems to have put Freeform on the last spot on the Home Screen and moved everything else along by one place, if that makes sense.

Anybody know what's up with the requirement that all your devices be updated to enable icloud encryption? It says my 2012 MBP isn't compatible and I need to remove it from my account. I don't even back that machine up to icloud and just want to encrypt my iOS backups, but I'm not ready to completely trash that laptop.
Ok. Removing from your account does not erase or delete anything from the MacBook. It removes it from being associated with your Apple ID, that’s all.

Appears that iOS 15.7.2 are for certain older devices:

“Available for: iPhone 6s (all models), iPhone 7 (all models), iPhone SE (1st generation),
iPad Pro (all models), iPad Air 2 and later, iPad 5th generation and later, iPad mini 4 and later, and iPod touch (7th generation).”

People will use Freeform to propse writing 'Will you marry me?' with apple pencil on iPad.

This has been the buggiest update in a long time.

First my iPad froze after restarting from 16.2 update. Took a lot of force restarting before it kicked in.

Then my iPhone crashed after updating HomeKit. Multiple force restarting (It kept trying to call 911)

Now my AirPods keep disconnecting or pausing my music no matter what device I'm using.

Apple today released iOS 16.2, the second major update to the iOS 16 operating system that came out in September. iOS 16.2 comes more than a month after the launch of iOS 16.1, an update that added support for Live Activities, Matter, iCloud Shared Photo Library, and more.

The ‌iOS 16‌.2 update Apple's can be downloaded on eligible iPhones and iPads over-the-air by going to Settings > General > Software Update. It can take a few minutes for the updates to propagate to all users due to high demand. Note that Apple has also released iOS 15.7.2 for iPhone users who have older devices, with the update offering security improvements.

Today's iOS 16.2 and iPadOS 16.2 updates bring several notable features to iOS 16 and iPadOS 16, including the Freeform app, which is a sort of digital whiteboard that you can use for anything, while also working collaboratively with friends and colleagues.

It includes the Apple Music karaoke feature called "Sing," it introduces Advanced Data Protection for end-to-end encryption for more iCloud features, plus more. On the iPad, the update brings support for external displays on M1 and M2 iPads.

Apple's full release notes for the iOS update are below:

Apple also has some iPad specific notes:

Following the launch of iOS 16.2 and iPadOS 16.2, Apple may soon seed out the first betas of iOS 16.3 and iPadOS 16.3, giving us a look at new features that we can expect to see in the new year.

i agree lot of bugs.
wrong period to have so many bugs
i love apple but their firmware becomes android more and more :D

It's really weird how fast my battery is draining still after almost a week. I take it off the charger leave it alone for a few hours and it goes from 100% to 98% without me doing anything. Maybe it's just a placebo but ever persistent location services constantly being on kind of makes me suspect it could be something there...
