Apple Releases iOS 16 With Customizable Lock Screen, iMessage Editing, Focus Updates, and More

I'm going to try this in a little while. Just backed up to iCloud. Looking forward to this update, especially the lock screen customization.

Interesting, I get software update failed when I try to install either 15.7 or 16 on my iPhone 8. Going fine on my iPad though with 15.7. (My 12 is already on 16 from the RC).

Edit: A little bit of patience solved it for me. Updating now.

It just showed up for me. I had the option for 15.7 but below that is the link to download 16.0. Be sure you select the correct one.

ugh..I don't have enough space...got the prompt to automatically temporarily remove apps. At least they do it automatically for you to install the update...but this will take while now I believe.

Sounds to me like there was a bug or security issue that was fixed in 16.0 that may have been backported into iOS 15, hence why there was a 15.7 release as well.

I may be wrong though..

I rolled 15.7 for iPad Pro 2018 11”… what the?

I know the new iPad OS isn't coming until next month. This is the 3rd time I saw 15.7 and...well there it is. I had no idea, missed the story I guess.

iOS 16, as much as I really want to update now....I'll wait until I see any possible severe bugs, oddities. May be a few hours, may be tomorrow. I can wait.
