iOS 18 will likely have its numerous new bugs fixed only around the release of iOS 18.6. That's because Tim Cook doesn't care much about providing user-friendliness to customers, and thus doesn't devote resources towards fixing bugs. Cook saves Apple money by not fixing bugs, and it's one of his many ways to maximize profits and please shareholders.
what rubbish.

it costs more to fix bugs than to eliminate them before release... more testing to ensure no other impacts.

bugs happen. get over it. the days of thorough pre-release testing are long gone. for all software.
the fact apple do so many pre-release versions over months gives maximum chance of finding them with more people testing each beta rather than just in house testing.

If they have released beta 3 for iPhone 16 today don’t expect even the next week anything…

I’ve been running the 18.1 dev beta since the first and it has been pretty stable on the 15PM. This is necessary to move to the new phone so quite welcome.

Maybe the week of the 23rd we’ll see another one.
I don’t agree with you guys. Next week we’ll get a new 18.1 Beta. In the Beta 3 are not even the new Watch faces included. You can set them up on the Watch himself, but not at the iPhone. I can’t believe that Apple don’t give you the possibility to configure a new wallpaper. We all know: wallpaper and emojis are the preference any update

So can we also expect the first iOS 18.2 betas (added AI features) on Monday with the GA of 18.0…?

The  OS trend: next to the ”current OS” seed betas of the next version and early betas of the one following.

I'm running 18.1 beta on my 15 Pro Max. I was going to update my phone to the 16 Pro for the smallest size but now the fact that it's being released with just plain iOS 18 seems like a hassle I might as well wait a month or two to order the phone do you agree?

Yep support for Apple Intelligence is downloading on my M4 iPad and 15 PM and now Siri is not working while it downloads something is gong on in line with this new update for 16 line also will be interesting to see what is added?

Lots of beta testers reporting that the Apple Intelligence setting is ”downloading new models“ since last night — Siri still not working all the Apple Intelligence features of 18.1 beta three are also not working just a regular 18 OS sorta that works fine for all no AI features of the beta. One person installed 18.1 last night and it is working on their device though. I have rebooted, turned the settings off for Apple Intelligence and nothing changed

Currently only 18.1 feature not using Siri settings is the writing and proofreading tools thone work rest does not (summaries, in text and email and notifications for example)

WHy would they need to release it when nobody has an iPhone 16?

Reviewers get units early and might be on a beta of 18.1 with an iCloud backup they want to restore to the device Apple is sending them.

18.1 might not be out yet but you can bet they’ll take any good press they can get about Apple Intelligence to sell more units and if you’re getting a review unit early from Apple it’s highly likely you’re an Apple friendly reviewer to begin with so why not put it out there now if you’re Apple?

Plus if there are any major issues with it that are show stoppers they can fix them before the onslaught when regular users start to get their hands on theirs.

Is it worth installing the latest iOS 18 beta on an iPhone 16 Pro Max? Wondering what you are planning. Thanks.
