They promised this in early 2024. So many excuses, but older phones before the 15 didn’t have this issue.
But it actually worked recently. Some later update made it so that it sounds like the voice direction is coming from a cave and disconnects whenever a phone call comes in.

If you don't have all the auto update options turned on, this update turns them back on by force. At least it tells you afterward.

I suppose this is Apple's protocol now -- turning back on things you deliberately turned off because they think they know what's best for you.

If only they get updates and features right, then people wouldn't be turning them off all the time. Instead of improving, they just turned sh** back on by force.

Next thing you know, they might even turn on subscriptions for you by force and shrug and say you can always turn them back off.

WTF is the new Clips app that was downloaded to and installed on my Home Screen?

Edit: Or rather, why is this 4 or 5 (?) year old app being (re-?) installed onto my Home Screen?

Anyway, (re-?) deleted now...

Wow my iPhone is hot! ♨️

Photos won't sync because "needs to cool down"...

Updating turns on automatic updates/download. Also not seeing ambient music options in control center add list
The ambient music controls don't show up in Control Center by default. You need to long press on Control Center, then use "Add a Control" at the bottom. The ambient music choices will show up there so that you can add them to your CC.

Will the lossless on AirPods Max need a firmware update, now 18.4 is out I want to try it
You'll need a hardware change as well - new USB-C to lightning for AirPods Max G1 models. The older cable prior to last week only gives you re-encoded and close to lossless audio.
8 new emojis!🎉🤣
OMG ... Apple enough with the Emoji, Animoji and anything MOJI already!
At this point if anyone is hanging onto, looking forward to simply because of, or is pending an iPhone upgrade due to emoji should be left overboard off iOS/iPadOS.

I mean what's next bringing customization of all those moji's to AppleTV?! Pfft forget I'm not giving Apple more hints.

Has anyone been able to isolate the MB/GB of data contributed solely to all forms of 'moji' that Apple includes in all their OS platforms?! I'm VERY curious.

Also ....

Screen Time App Limits persist even after a child uninstalls and reinstalls an app

^ but does it Screen Time App Limits/Counter time out during an uninstall if ONLY viewing that screen/homescreen to begin on/off when jumping to the retricted app or when installation completes - if related to the restrictions the child is allowed?! Would REALLY suck on low bandwidth - say in a part with 1 iPhone as modem is hosting 2 iPad Pro's uploading thousands of pics/10's to 100's of video clips previously edited on device and a parent's laptop while say camping or in a park or when home internet is down to have to wait 30mins and BOOM kiddo times up = game over!

Still broken (reported this to Apple during beta period) but cannot use Dropbox at all, and then any app that uses storage at all will either not function or will give you an alert that you have 0 remaining storage…. Yet my iPhone is 1TB and only using around 197.26GB of the 1.02TB and then my iPad is only using 324.18GB of 2TB…IMG_1700.pngIMG_1701.jpeg

SO this is by far the worst iOS release Apple has ever pushed out.

Serious question: Other than auto update and Apple Intelligence, what else did you have to turn off again?

After having to turn off AI every time on my M1 iPad Pro, this one did not turn it back on; however, I did notice that the option in Settings to enable it has changed from an on-off switch to tappable text. I will not tap it to test if it's now impossible to turn back off.

I *did* have to turn automatic updates back off.

Thanks for the warning. I may wait a while with this update. I wish I never updated to iOS/iPadOS 18.

I’m also missing it on mine, wondering what’s going on.
Actually, my “summarize previews” feature is gone too. I wonder if it’s downloading and installing new LLM models. That might be why the phone gets hot and why the features are missing.

But some kind of feedback would have been nice… assuming that’s what’s actually going on here.

I don't know. I haven't had time to look over things yet. Hope nothing else.

It forced the change on the Mac too.

I hope they fixed the issue with RCS not working with a VPN enabled. Really annoying. I missed a lot of important messages before I realized the issue. I'll see soon. Really annoyed at them enabling things I specifically disabled.
