Apple Intelligence is a big miss. If Apple could release at least one feature of Apple Intelligence with iOS 18.0, things won't be this kind of bad.Funny. Feels like iOS 18 has been a non event. I guess it was supposed to be the year of Apple Intelligence that didn't actually happen. Feels like we lost a year.
Not bitter about it. Just an observation. Lots of other companies moving forward with features that have helped my day-to-day on my Apple devices.
But, they have released multiple features under the Apple Intelligence banner.Apple Intelligence is a big miss. If Apple could release at least one feature of Apple Intelligence with iOS 18.0, things won't be this kind of bad.
And are withholding new features (for relatively recent phones) like battery life improvements that used to be considered just machine learning !But, they have released multiple features under the Apple Intelligence banner.
What have you read that makes you worry so much about a software update deteriorating your battery life? Just because it happened once to you are you going to forever fear updates?I bought the 16e on iOS 18.3 pre-installed and never updated on purpose because of the great battery life.
It’s understandable and very logical. New version means new features, more processing power, less battery. There are few versions that are better than their predecessor, like iOS 12 - but it’s not common. I am personally update only when I have to (mostly due to apps compatibility). What have you read that makes you worry so much about a software update deteriorating your battery life? Well, just because you say it does not make it so.It’s understandable and very logical. New version means new features, more processing power, less battery. Been on iOS 26 since the first dev beta and it has improved. People do like to complain. But it is a beta. Battery life has improved. But still still a ways to go.I’m staying away from iOS 26 until at least 26.1, if the beta quality is anything to go by. Seeing a lot of Devs criticising it at this stage and fearing they won’t be ready for the RC
It can be slow for a few days after updating. Expecting to be perfect pair install is a bit much.IOS 18.6 touch response is SLOW, GLITCHY when opening apps. Not a good look apple. Keep it up and they will go out of business by 2030 because of their poor software updates and now expensives phones
Not just once. It's been happening all the time I took the risk to update a freshly bought iPhone. Starting since 3GS.What have you read that makes you worry so much about a software update deteriorating your battery life? Just because it happened once to you are you going to forever fear updates?
Of course not. It does not make it so just because we're saying it. It's because we've experienced it.Well, just because you say it does not make it so.
Same here. iPhone, Apple Watch, and iPad all updated. No issues before and still no issues after. All devices updated. Now ready to leave for work.![]()
Well, just because you say it does not make it so.
Oftentimes after a feature is released the developers can code optimizations that improve performance, and reduce memory and processing requirements.
But do as you wish if you’re that certain you know how all of this works.
With three cars on CarPlay I never experienced this. Check on you car.Does it also fix the CarPlay drop out issues when cable connected to a vehicle?
